The sub has been my favorite for a while. I was on my way to see my AD about the LV and they had just sold it, 2nd choice is the GMT II C and so i decided to take her home and I am so pleased. I do think the watch is smarter than I am cause I am still trying to figure out how to use three times zones at once!!!!!!

The contrast in the bracelet is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi - great review - I actually sold mine recently as I just fell out with the watch. For me the balance is wrong and I really didn't like polished centre links. I sold an explorer II to fund GMT and I am now reverting - don't know if I can wait for the AD release of new one
So I am left with PO liquid metal until I can make my mind up!!

It is quite acceptable to start a sentence with "And" or "But" in many circumstances. Additionally, the notion that a sentence cannot end with a preposition is the type of tomfoolery up with which I will not put.

Very nice review GMT Fan. Well I did want to get back with you on the roughness of the lug that you stated in your review. When I wear shirts with cuffs I do not have a problem. However, I do get annoyed that the cuffed part of the shirt goes vertically down when I wear the watch. So, I have to keep on straightening it out all the time. The watch is great though. The dealer told me that it looks good with everything, but I think he was just trying to sell me the watch. It really does though. I have the SS version, so its not very flashy, which is nice about the watch. It is very conventional, and can be very useful. I am not really a traveler, but when I do, I find it to be a useful watch. I however, find a lot of the Rolex bracelets to be a little under done. I think they could do a better job with them, but that is just a personal opinion. Thanks for the great review!

My wrist is only 7.5 inches,when I tried the new GMT it looked and felt a lot bigger than my 16750 and 16700.The lack of a quick set date, is also a minus for me.Great review!!

Great review, well thought out and written. The edges can leave their mark on french cuffs, but notice wear on my left pocket than anywhere else.

Saw an earlier question and response about the case size and bracelet proportions. As an temporary holder of numerous fine timepieces, and maybe a little ore experience at my disposal, think this is one of the areas that the watch falls on. Really feel the bracelet and clasp lack balance with the head. Seems that only an extra mm or 2 could have made all the difference.

Still a pheonomenal piece!

After waiting years to acquire my first Rolex, I picked up my GMTIIC last weekend from an AD and this review underscores my decision.

like all watches there are positives and negatives. ive had the gmt2c for about 3 years.

negative:
1. pcl - if you dont like it, there are plenty of other models with brushed links. rolex really makes its watches blingy. the sides of the links and the case are very shiny and get noticed a lot. that's true for most models.
2. sharp lugs - makes the watch harder to adjust on wrist. resulting to more smudges and finger prints.
3. 24H hand not very noticable - i like that very much. makes the watch very clean. but its there when i need it.
4. no AR coating on the crystal - this is annoying. sometimes you cant see the time due to the reflection then you have to adjust your watch but then the sharp lugs get in the way.

positive:
1. the weight is great, the comfort is great.
2. everything else is perfect.

it just so happens there are more positives than negatives in the gmt2c.

the price has increased 17% already since i bought it. if youre planning to get one, buy before another #$%% increase.
