Looks perfect. Was a good move bringing this out in 40mm. Seeing lots of them posted so the people must agree.

Who are these people who’ve been commenting?

You must be talking about people commenting to the OP directly. There's a big move to buy smaller watches. My guess is that it's because they're cheaper due to desirability. I've not really understood the trend backwards.

It doesn't matter what we or anyone else think it is what you like, if you are happy wearing the watch then everyone else can take a walk.

With everyone chipping in about oh that's too big or too small it is easy to become convinced that you have the wrong size watch.

Personally I think it looks great.

Could I get your opinion, do you think the 40mm Explorer 1 looks too big on my wrist?

I appreciate any insight you can provide.

not big at all, unless you feel it is not comfortable and you prefer vintage style/feel then go for the 36mm

Looks great!

If I can wear the Exp2 with 6.3" wrist you can for sure wear the Exp1 on 6.5" :D

(Yes, it is big, but it's not an Invicta or a Diesel abomination.)

I think it looks fine on your wrist. The Explorer 40mm looks big on its own.

Fits you perfectly.

The dial size to case proportions are different for the Explorer compared to other 40 mm sport Rolex watches with their bolder lugs and larger bezels. You’ll get used to it and find that it is so comfortable to wear and not obtrusive. Enjoy!
