It’s an odd configuration.

Much like the gray/black two tone GMT. Looks cool at first but nothing I want to own.

I’m not a tennis fan in any way shape or form, so the Wimbledon dial has no meaning for me, and it’s not my cup of tea. I know someone who has one, and I agree it is a good looking watch in person. The funny thing is, he said he bought it because he went to a Rolex dealer, and that one was the quickest one he could get.

I also think the solo white stick would bother me. On the flip side, if I were given one, I’d rationalize that the single white stick represents a single tennis ball. I know, wrong shape and color, but at the #9 position it is somewhat like a ball in flight (versus at #6).

Yes, I know my Yachtmaster has 2 sticks, but it makes sense because of the Rolex crown at 12 and date at 3. My Yachtmaster was never a big seller anyway, and of course my exact one has been discontinued. The YM line got a huge shot in the arm from the oysterflex. It’s never bothered me that I have a very unpopular watch. In my over 20 years of ownership, I’ve never seen another woman wearing the 29mm. It works for me!

In pictures, i wasn’t a huge fan. In person, it a great dial and really changed my mind about it.

At first I didn't care for it, then my tastes changed and I started to really like it (as one person mentioned above, the dial has character)...

Then I tried it on in person and it left me cold. Maybe it was the lighting at the AD, but something about it didn't do it for me, maybe too monotone (though I love the silver stick dial) I'd love to see the two tone yellow gold version, I bet this one would do it for me (on Jubilee).

On the waiting list for my SS Wimbledon 41 fluted on jubilee since Feb24. Never saw it in real life. But I love it. And I want it ))

I've been a fan for a while now, although I've gravitated away from the DJ over the years.

As a tennis fan I really like. Possibly nicer on smooth and oyster, as on fluted and jubilee may be a little too busy looking.

its a nice watch, but I never understood the color scheme, the official Wimbledon colors are Green and Purple. I think some purple accents would really make it pop

These are the official colours: Wimbledon Green, and Wimbledon Purple.

I like it. I got to try on a SS Fluted on Jubilee model yesterday and thought it looked great.

That’s why I chose fluted on Oyster. It’s more sporty.

I don't really like Romans and I find the singular stick marker at 9 a little odd.

My read: It used to sit in the case. Then around 2020 it got popular. I don't understand the hype. The 9 o'clock lume baton index drives me nuts. But as always when it comes to watches, to each their own.

Any one like the Wimbledon dial?

Rolex did not ever refer to this dial as “the Wimbledon”. As with all the other Rolex watch nicknames, Rolex fans named it. Per Rolex, it is the slate Roman dial.

The Wimbledon was never as popular as the blue on release but hype and time changes.

It’s a nice looker though that arguably looks best in tt with fluted.

I like it.

I agree with you, but Roger Federer chose this configuration, when he won his eighth Wimbledon title in 2017.

Did he? Or did Rolex choose it for him? I know which I find most likely.

I like to think they let him choose the configuration. It is the most sporty one, but you could certainly be right.

Doubt it. A $500 million net worth athlete isn’t wearing a 17k watch because he likes
It.

It's meh for me. I like stick on a blue or green dial. The less busy, the better.

Exactly this, same with other like Beckham and tudor......they're basically owned by their sponsors and are told what to wear when in the public eye.....golfers are the same.
