Best no-date Rolex options?

116400GV Milgauss, classic.. my first Rolex and if I hadn’t got so used to the date I’d wear it every day.

EDIT Doh should have read the original post properly

ND Submariner. For me, though, it’s a pleasure to take a minute and set the date on my Datejust, or any other watch I own with a date complication. I actually enjoy doing it.

Hmmm……

I have never understood why Rolex would mix a blue dial with a green crystal?

Nice pix.

Thanks everyone, I am going to the AD next week to put myself on the list for a Sub ND and a Daytona Panda. I am a patient man and I can wait. :D

Also I will definitely pick up a grey OP 114300, it is GORGEOUS! https://monochrome-watches.com/wp-co...ual-39mm-6.jpg

I cannot identify with you there, for whatever reasons I find it so damn annoying.

It's insane how much I am loving my Milgauss Z Blue... the blue-turqoise dial, orange hand and markers and the green crystal all combine to create something truly special. I can't understand why it's not among the most coveted models out there, it is truly unique in the watchmaking world and check out how crazily hard it is to make that green sapphire crystal! https://www.watchaffinity.co.uk/blog...phire-crystal/

You have all the bases covered.

If you must add a fourth SS no-date Rolex, then the Daytona would compliment your set nicely, IMHO, as the Submariner has some overlap with the Explorer and OP, in terms of simple rugged watches with brushed bracelets.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't personally see any overlap with the OP/Explorer as the Sub is a completely different style of watch, a rugged diver with a ceramic bezel. It looks and feels very different.

'Day Date' Puzzle Dial, which displays neither the day nor the date.

Hehe thanks I had never heard of that and had to Google it. The only problem with that watch being that it is a) a monstrosity and b) costs 250k.

This timepiece (model number 5522a), although not manufactured by Rolex, is nevertheless one of my most treasured possessions.

How about a vintage or neo-vintage sub?

I’m a huge no date fanatic for similar reason as you OP. Most of my collection is made up of no date (across multiple brands). Based on what you have, go Sub (but definitely 5 digit), or Daytona, assuming you want to stay a Rolex only collection.

Outside of Rolex, definitely a Speedy, then a 40mm BP FF.

Thanks, Nut. Why a 5 digit sub though vs a 6 digit one?

Sub ND of course.

I agree and I find the date complication relatively useless. Typically have my phone with me if for some reason I need to know the day number.

I am getting to the point where I found most complications useless. GMT I see the value especially if traveling. Chrono, I had a few and hardly ever used the complication. Perpetual calendar, don't get me started...a date function that is often impossible to even read without reading glasses.

Complications are mostly about the overall look of the watch. A date function very rarely improves a watch appearance...unless you love the cyclops.

Yeah I bought a SkyD thinking I would absolutely love it, but no, I just find it a pain in the ass to set and also it's too big and bling for me. A regretful purchase that I will sell.

Rolex gave me one of those pocket knives. My kid had it for about 10 minutes and now it’s gone.

This, exactly. Wearing this exact watch - the classic 14060M two line ND Sub - right now.

I think the ND sub and Daytona are great options…. but your white OP is already the best 39mm OP made imo

This is true it is the best but I really want the Rhodium version as I often tailor the watch I am wearing to the clothing I am wearing and I like to wear dark grey. :)

214270

Edit— I now see you have the 40mm Explorer, so scratch my suggestion! Go for the black Daytona!

My two-line 14060M is my favorite no date watch. To me, it's perfection from when Rolex was making the perfect tool watch.
