That's a beauty Adam, and yes Lange is the last bastion, but becoming harder to stomach prices in this market so I'll wait.

Believe it or not, that's one of the main reasons I've been avoiding Rolex.
I've heard that a lot and answers you can have are that as for your prices you pay for what you get, and that I do stellar work which is why I was able to treat myself to a nice watch etc. Rolex is a symbol of success and used to crown an achievement so use it to your advantage. Or just wear it in your free time.

Would probably make a great opportunity to use this quote that I like a lot:

The actual quote reads:
“The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory.”

I believe we've been posting on WUS/Breitling Section and I've seen some of your watches there !! Welcome to TRF

Very nice collection by the way and nice Exp. Polar !

Since you are very enthused about watches, I might send you a PM asking about the Watch Winder Box or even creating a thread about it as I am very interested in owning one ! I have 6 watches on my current collection (Which only the BLRO and the Navitimer have 70 hours power reserve) and it's pretty annoying to keep them in rotation and running and I don't want to manually wind them every day.

Thank you sir!
Yes I am much more active on WUS.

And yea I love Breitlings.... got this one on today:

I put that watch winder together. Got parts from other watch winder, built a framework with exact dimensions to fit inside my safe and rebuilt it as a new watch winder perfect for the safe...

I’ll try to take good pictures and make a thread

LOL that Breitling looks massive in this picture... it is 46mm but here’s a better representation of its actual size on my wrist.

THAT’S WHY I’m afraid the 42mm Polar will be too small on me. It’ll be smallest in my collection for sure.

I have 43mm IWC but it wears much bigger because it’s pretty much all dial. It feels bigger than some 45’s I have.

That’s a stunning watch in person BTW. Le Petit Prince edition.

Wow !

I've been admiring a lot the IWC Le Petit Prince ! Big congrats again !

When it comes to Breitling, you've seen my Navitimer pics on WUS Forum and I'm VERY impressed with it !

I Believe we have a quite close taste for watches ! For example, I've become a Breitling fan but not exactly of the entire collection and the ones I really like are mostly the ones you own, including the Super Ocean Heritage that you got today !! As for the Polar, it's definitely a Rolex that it's on my list !

Oh yea, the one I thought you had for 20 years when you wrote 20 days lol

Maybe I'll trade you Navitimers (if yours is 46mm)... I got too many blue in my collection... but my Navitimer is friggin gorgeous!

Ahahahhaha... Yeaaah.... That was you !!! True... I've almost forgotten it !

And keep up with the Navitimers !!! Yours are STUNNING ! This LE of mine is "only" 43mm but there is an option for 45mm (Rattrapante) which for me, would never justify the extra money plus, 45mm ends up being a bit larger than I'm used to, considering the thickness as I owned a Bell & Ross WWI-92 45mm in the past and it was perfectly ok since it wasn't thick.

Have a look on the Breitling section on TRF ! There are nice pics and threads as well !

I don’t think Rolex watches suppose to overwhelm you, unlike Breitlings for example which are big, busy and shiny but sometimes make your eyes a little tired. When I wear my watch I think, wow this bracelet feels sturdy, these proportions are perfect, everything clicks like it should and it just sits perfectly quiet on your wrist. Much less noise, but much mor pleasant to your senses.

Welcome aboard OP.

Just compare the bezel movement and play of the Breitling Heritage Ocean that appears on top right of your picture with that of say a Tudor blackbay, and you will convert. Then for added enjoyment move up to SD43 and DSSD and never look back.

DSSD is likely what suits me most. The black blue gradient would fit my collection very well.

I’m just waiting to find a buyer for my left arm and my kidney then I’ll jump on a DSSD.

Whoa buddy! That's a beautiful Lange 1 moonphase.

Congrats on the Polar, OP! Excellent choice for a first move into Rolex. Tread lightly!

Yea, I glance at my wrist and feel like I'm on the dark side... I second guess myself of how I have a Rolex on my wrist when I avoided them and spoke against them for so long.

As your first thread I suggest you get out of this forum quickly . You are obviously severely addicted and this is no place to get help. You will only spiral out of control here.
YOU HAVE BE WARNED...

Thank you.

this is the 43mm on me:

I think any smaller and I start getting self conscious about a watch that feels too small for me.

Congratulations on both, great pieces Just use them for work a couple of weeks and you will see that none will even notice what watch you are wearing. I have been wearing Rolex day and night for a decade now and hardly anyone ever comment on it in any setting. And the Explorer II is a very under the radar Rolex, while the SD is more recognizable few will still notice. Trust me these two are only the start. Rolex is an addiction
