Tom, I voted to do it ...... the new Sub C will be around for a long time, but it will become more difficult in the future to find a nice LV Sub.

Thanks Richard,

and thank you all for your valuable and helpful opinions!

I think I will do it and see later if I need the 116610 LV again, because it is a beautiful watch anyway:

Thanks again to all!

50th anniversary edition of the iconic rolex submariner is a downgrade? that's an interesting opinion.

Mein Gott!!

Johny being tactful...?!?!?

Am I in the wrong forum?!?!?

Su-bloody-perb mate su-bloody-perb!!!

& to the OP I say do whatever YOU want to do my friend....
Your watch & your money BUT if it was me I'd be inclined to go for the classic 16610 now & the ceramic 116610 later.

as long as you are happy. i own both, so i would say that

Oh god, I knew I shouldn't have said it!

I class it as a "downgrade" refering to the clasp "upgrade" and bracelet also. I find the newer style a more modern watch and find it to be much more of a quality timepiece.

IMO ofcorse!

I only class the older bracelet/clasp a downgrade. The watch is great. Me being a modernest I prefer the newer. Thats why I bought it

Do it. I did something similar once. I sold an LV and missed it so. Finally I got another and am so glad that I did.

I would only trade the new one for the old one if the old one had sentimental value. Otherwise, keep the new one.

Really depends on the look that you prefer. I own the older model and have tried on the newer. The newer looks to similar to my GMT IIC, so I'm glad I have the older. Really no one can answer this one but you.
