NaptownPete:
What a great story by someone who was there... One thing was unique in 1984 - that was the first year Rolex sponsored the biennial Swan Cup Race - and has done so since. In 1988 Evrika did win the Cup piloted by K. Mavrides

Amazing.
This story has everything. A famous brand, a not yet clearly understood journey, suspense and probably some gun fight at some point of time! Why not someone produce a action thriller movie based on this story? Will TRF members suggest a title this movie? |

Some corrections
Karen didn't sail in the event. Moose McClintock drove that year. Not the best memories for me because Karen's father died during the event and he was a great man. I sold my watch in Staunton, Va. but I don't remember what year.

She was late in the first series. Hull no.36. I never met you Pete but I agree she was one fine yacht. Were you friends with Mike and Marina?

Sorry to bring this back, but I see another one for same on Chrono24.
Wondering if it’s stolen or legit.

I have one of the watches with a full background to this vessel.
The vessel was bought by the drummer from Pink Floyd and subsequently sold and was last seen lying in Lymington. Of the south coast of the UK |
