Thanks Steve for posting this valuable information.
Goes to the point... only buy vintage from reliable sellers who stand behind their product 100% (even if you have to pay a few dollars extra). |

my pleasure guys!
I know that awful feeling you get when you pay some god awful price for something and it turns out to be a fake..you get a lump that starts in your throat and works its way down to the pit of your stomach! I have to send back about 30 to 35% of everything that comes in these days because its fake..it pisses a lot of dealers off sometimes and some wont even sell to me because they are afraid of what I will find when they send me their watch or parts..lol but hey,I have taken a hit on stuff before I learned what was right and whats not right and thats the most powerful way to learn!when it affects you where it counts. I am just glad that I can use the knowledge I have worked hard to learn to help out my fellow collectors so hopefully many of them will never have to go thru that terrible experience of finding out something you cherish isnt what you thought it was! if anyone has anything they need an opinion on feel free to email me some pics,I am sometimes swamped with requests but I will get to it as soon as I can. cheers! |

You remember awhile back
I got two 16800's for a legitimate seller and both had real movements, real dials, and real bracelets, but both had fake cases. The Viet's have got CNC lathes down to a science...

Looks like another case from the "forbidden" web site. Not only are they doing Submariner 1680's, but they are "popping" GMT's, Daytonas and Explorer II's.
Be careful out there!!!!
