The center links are solid, just like all of the new style oyster bracelets. My AD told me they are switching every oyster bracelet over to these new ones.
What I want to know is will Rolex swap the hands and put on more appropriately sized ones for the official release? The current hands are too short for the dial. The previous model Explorer 112470 shared the same movement as the no-date sub. Does anyone know what sister model shares this new caliber movement? Maybe we can swap a set of hands from the sister model? Hand color should be identical. |

I kind of miss the Arabic numbers of the old Explorer.

What? Sorry, friends...I must have been sleeping...
Is there a site that can educate me on the evolution of the Explorer I?? I searched, but I couldn't find anything like that on the Reference section. thanks |

First post to the forums!
Just picked one up on the bridge in Firenze, Italy. The "EXPLORER" is at the 12 o'clock. Is that weird? |

Just taken delivery of my new explorer and love it....think the size is great as 36mm just felt too small for me. Like you spent ages deciding but very happy. Getting slightly fed up with a lot of people moaning about the hands issue, Rolex know what they are doing, and the watch is what it is. it is VERY elegant, the lines and finish of the watch are gorgeous and sits beautifully on the wrist :)

Actually, upon further inspection, I think I picked up the older model - 36mm. I love it.

Collected my pre ordered 214270 today and wow what a piece I just love it......The smaller hands looks fine to me but am aware its a personal choice.
Paid the full RRP for it with no movement from the AD in the UK but am still happy. B |

I just bought one as well.
I notice that the watch slow 2s for every 24hr. This happen even I leave it lying face up. Does anyone know how to rectify this? Also, I read somewhere that the position of the watch lying had no effect on new rolex model. |
