Rolex = Cyclops. They look strange without one.

I like them the way they came. SD good without. Sub DJ GMT Exp and others need to stay intact. If you need to pull it off of a sub buy a SD

Hate it, too. I will take the "short hands" of my Explorer over having to deal with a cyclops any day. To each their own.

I want it off! Thinking about finding a crystal without it for my 1675.

I love cyclops. I don't care if my watch doesn't have a date as long as it has cylops.

I love those pics. I feel like the watches look sleeker and more finished without the cyclops.

It just seems like a dated thing to include on nearly ALL models.

Here's my SD 16600 that came from the factory with no cyclops. I love it.

I also ***LOVE*** this thread where the amazing poster has lots of great photos of vintage red Subs with non-cyclops crystals. Way to go! I'll try to sneak one in here if he does not mind.

I hated it for years. It endeared me to the SD, still my favorite Rolex diver with the LV as a close second. Over the years I have learned to accept and actually embrace the cyclopes. Fifty year old eyes and it really is nice.

Love it.

Also love the watches without it.

A masterpiece either way, IMO!
