Pure filth. Sorry you have to go through the process but good luck with regard to the outcome.

Edit: I didn't scroll down but it seems all is well.

I've contacted the proper authorities and am having this straightened out...such a headache!

Be careful out there!

I actually stated earlier in the thread that I was made whole, found out who it was, and alerted all the proper authorities. It's all good now

I just now noticed this news story to bump this topic with something pretty interesting! Looks like what goes around comes around, and it doesn't appear the family of the lady associated with the account involved in the scam was too happy with this guy about six months after I was taken ...

glad it worked out for you - but just wondering how did you hook up with this guy for a private sale - it wasn't on eBay so was it in the newspaper ? - why not buy like everyone keeps saying on TRF ? - not prying - just learning - thanks

I am a dealer and sell quite a bit here on TRF. From time to time I purchase from parties on the forums when looking for specific watches I am sourcing. This guy had the specific piece I needed, pictures, references, etc. Looking back there was a red flag or two I passed over as I needed this watch...live and learn.

too bad the people who beat his ass got charged. But funny he got handcuffed and beaten, they should've just killed him at that point, probably would be looking at less time.
