I would say less than that since it is on a leather strap

How does something like this even happen to a dial? I've never seen anything like it before.

I'm with you. I love it!!

I'd offer even less, maybe $2500. Bob's is forecasting a market collapse, after all.

Bobs does not negotiate when you buy from them.. I have tried several times before. So - they likely sold it for $7k

That's my experience too. But when they have it, and it's exactly what you want, as it has been twice for me, you pay it.

I'm obviously not the only one who doesn't think 7K is crazy for this watch.

Clearly not my friend. Beauty of this game, we're not all the same. I like it too.

My feeling is it stands out from the crowd and why can't it be worth a premium! It's into the realms of artwork almost. It's just a much further extension of the whole ghost bezel/yellowing/crazing etc which gets people going.

I find myself staring at my heavily aged 62MAS dial, I know if it was like new I wouldn't. It's an interesting talking point too and so love the fact it's unique.

I actually would have paid more than most b/c it was really neat and every now and then you need to buy what you like regardless of price... but my biggest issue was that nobody knew the story of how it got the way it did, if the dial was original to the watch or if it was put in a different case, if the movement had any real damage or looked like the dial, etc etc.

I stared this thread hoping for some validation that would convince me to pull the trigger, but I did not and have no regrets.
