100% truth. Spoke to my AD and he was telling me sold a green crystal milgauss to a guy for retail and it showed up on ebay the next week and Rolex was calling the next day.

I am considering not buyng anymore at MSRP. I think Rolex makes a great watch, but with the way the prices are going up, there are other brands out there that I feel are a better buy. I anticpate only buying at less then MSRP and if that means I have to buy from a grey dealer or AD that is willing to negotiate, then that is where I will purchase.

Yes, I'm sure they do. Great forum for obtaining 'marketing' information and other useful information on what Rolex buyers like and dislike. If I worked for them, I would be 'lurking' around here also.

I know for a fact that they do. I'll post a little story this Saturday about how I know that, and why TRF is more important than we might think...

Cheers,

I presume that Rolex would read TRF.

It would be even cooler if Rolex would take suggestions, such as opening a RSC or a factory to a tour, even on a limited basis. Even NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Canada opens its facilities to the public once a year.

There was a guy who worked for Rolex here in the lead up to Basel.

I guess even the guys who make them could be as fanatical about them as us morons.

As for market research etc...do you really think they would listen to us Yahoos??????

As I said in another thread, if Rolex gave the people what they wanted, we would all be wearing red subs!

I don't think they care a flying fig what we think, they will get there feedback through sales. People buying professional/sports watches are not their main target market.

I am sure that either Rolex or their marketing/Pr departments keep abreast with what's being discussed on all the Rolex forums. They probably don't take any notice.

Just in case they do take notice -

don't screw with the sub

Definitely, and they use it as part of their armoury whilst doing everything they can to stamp out the grey market and dealer premiums

It is hard to tell and impossible to prove. What is plausible is that a bureau, commissioned by Rolex SA, scours the Internet in search of copyright infringements has stumbled upon TRF. Does Rolex employ researchers to actually pull feedback from forums like TRF? It doesn't show but Rolex isn't a fashionable clothing brand in search of the latest buzz. They move with glacier pace although they seem to have shifted gear lately. But forums like TRF aren't frequented by your average Rolex buyer I guess.

Do YOU go home and read about your day job on the internet? I don't and doubt they have anyone really "designated" to read our stuff here.
If so, I love you all at RSC DALLAS, I gave you a 20 year old Air King for polishing and you sent me back a Super President in Platinum with diamonds!
You rock!

I remember him, they started to give us bits of information, even said that they would give us an idea about this years Basel.

Then all of a sudden they stopped posting on the forum.
What has happened to them.

Perhaps Rolex sent the boys round to pay him a visit.

You could go to the Open Discussion Forum and post it on the Three Word Thread. Nobody views any posts over there.
