I quite like this watch although to me it looks like the time is two past seven and a half.

IMO you seem to dislike this watch but I like the watch and you like the jacket - that's fair.

Sure of course that is fair. But there seems to be a majority consensus that it is not an aestetically pleasing watch. But please do continue to admire the watch if it makes you happy. And yes I do love my jacket, thanks for noticing.

I think there's a great deal of truth in the above statement.

I've never had any problem telling time on the watch and virtually everytime I wear my YG YM II somebody compliments the watch and asks to see it.

I bought two identical ones a year ago and decided to sell one last week. It lasted just 3 days before it was sold and I only got $9,000 more than I paid.............

Apparently we "Clownmaster" owners can just laugh all the way to the bank !!

I've only seen one in a shop window and to be fair, it does look far better in the flesh - albeit through bullet proof glass - than pics on line. I still would never buy one. I've yet to see a clear explanation of how to time a regata with it.

Anyone have the manual in image or PDF format?

Not for me but I love the weight of the SD but others find it hard to get comfortable. We all have our likings and that's what makes this TRF world fun

Personally I think the YMII is a serious watch, and no badmouthing will ever devalue this beauty. It's fit for a King or a Captain rather, but most of won't ever know what that's like so don't knock it til you try it, and if ya don't like it after trying it, then it's not for you.

I disagree that there is a majority who don't like it. We are only a tiny percentage of Rolex buyers and even if we took a poll here we would need 8500+ members to vote against it.
Your majority concensus is

ps. and at least I can spell ast.......aeste.......aesthetically.

Sperry Top-Sider gold cup. Great grip on a wet deck, and I can get 2 seasons out of the soles.

I like the look of the watch, it's not that bad, but i have to say i do also like the term 'clownmaster', it's quite catchy and not many watches have their own nickname like that. I seriously doubt many who could afford to own it would be too annoyed with the nickname, and those who are, well they've probably just bought it as a status symbol

I think I'd go with the new 18K GMT II with the green dial if I were looking for a gold Rolex Professional. I agree with comments that the dial is a wee bit too busy on the YM II.

Cheers,

Chris
