I personally like the 5513 the best of those. It's the classic Sub style

OP - firstly, I wish I’d been born in 1988 because that would make me 20 years younger. However, your plight and, birth year Rolex aspirations, are in my view the peak of watch collecting. As my signature shows, I am a collector or, maybe just a fanatic? What I can say is that I went through a collection cycle during my collecting years which was (over 25 yrs): 1. Buy what “I” like 2. Buy the “latest and greatest” others liked 3. Flip, consolidate, fine tune 4. Birth year
There is something quite interesting about looking down at a watch that is as old as oneself. All the questions one has about, where has this watch been? Where was it worn? How many people have enjoyed it? Where were they from? Is a group of questions that will never (in most cases) be answered but, are nonetheless intriguing and, make the birth year proposition all the more interesting. Here’s my 50 year old 5513

I like the triple 0. Short production run, "small club".

5513 for me. I had a date sub for a birth year watch—a 1680 red. It was before they invented the qucikset function so setting the date was such as pain.
