[QUOTE=alohanakoni;881614]i often go to vegas to play poker and on occasion play the cash / tournaments. most of the time i would play at the bellagio and there you can definitely see who's wearing what. as i was waiting for seat...i walked around the room and i saw this one asian guy who was wearing a SS Submariner on his left wrist and a SS GMT on his right...

i don't know about you guys but that looks wack! i am sure he was proud to wear them but i see no style and class in that. [/QUOT

You may be on to something there!
During an average business day (and night), I'm dealing in at least four or five time zones, China, east US, central US, central Europe, and two in Mexico. I'm usually pretty good with the conversions, but when you start throwing in daylight savings!
A good excuse to buy more watches I think!

"Mr. Klipsch" of the audio company (I can't remember his first name.) used to do this. I asked him why and he told me that one was for whatever place he was visiting and the other was the time at the nursing home where his mother was living. I think that he was well into his 80s at that time. His mother must have been ancient!

The former president of Volvo, Per Gyllenhammar was well known for wearing two watches. I actually sat opposite him in an airport launch once so I have seen it myself, however at the time I did not pay attention to what makes they were.

I've seen it too.

One of them was (as I remember, and this must be from late 80's or early 90's) a Breitling displaying four time zones. Quite an unusual watch. The other could have been a Cartier tank, or JlC Reverso. Obviously he can afford more than two watches, so my memory can be wrong, but I'm pretty certain on the Breitling.

Best,

A

Sometimes I wear my Explorer II on one wrist with my GMT 1 on another just for fun and for no reason really. But one thing, its always in the house. I'd never go oustide in public wearing a watch on both wrists.

Maybe he needed the time in four different timezones? Three with the GMT plus the Sub.

The ladies in the front at the Rolex Service Center in Beverly Hills were wearing multiple watches on their wrists when I went in last month.

The watches had been serviced and I guess they were checking accuracy of the movement.

Thought that was interesting.
