Rainbow Daytona sells for $100,000 plus premium and yes close to impossible to get. Not counting that one!

Just got back from chatting with my AD (friend of mine) and he mentioned he's been allocated TWO (2) SS BLRO's for 2018. And, 1 more SS Sub for the year (not to mention he hasn't seen a Daytona in over a year). He did just get a Hulk in last month.
He's attributing this to increased demand, but, FROM WHERE? He's getting far fewer SS pieces than in the past, so, Rolex is obviously funneling them elsewhere (assuming they haven't decreased production). I was lucky to pick up my Sub Date when I did! |

The irony is that these three would probably de facto be more difficult to purchase than "the usual suspects":
1) DateJust 31mm 2) (you obscure model here) 3) (you obscure model here) The usual suspects has become a pissing contest. |

1. Blue SS Skydweller; 2. Daytona C; 3. SS BLRO. The LVc belongs with the SD43s and BLNRs of the world. |

these topics keep coming up because that’s what people want to discuss - so if you find it tedious Ignore these topics and read something else. I love reading all the theories on the current shortage of as models some plausible some just laughable but hey this is all a bit of fun. Take a chill pill and enjoy the forum.

1.0 Preface. Modern Rolex are not difficult to obtain.
2.0 Modern Rolex @ MSRP are difficult to obtain; "immediately" and difficult to obtain without buying the store: lock, stock and barrel. With that being written: 1. SS Daytona. 2 & 3. SS Sports Watches. Consolation: I´ve read that the "Blue Face" Skydweller is hard to obtain.

By pretty much any measure I can think of, a steel Daytona is far easier to get than a platinum Daytona.
