They are not very impressive compared to Omega and others but then again I don't want to pay for a nice box since they all just live in a big Rubermaid tub on top of the safe, never to be seen again unless I decide to sell.

Don’t use them - they are in the loft with papers, links etc.

My wife’s Patek box is on her dresser where it resides overnight - that’s a much nicer box.

Imo, Rolex box is not well made so it's kept for resale (which can increase the resale value significantly and replacement is not cheap nor easy to find ). There're much nicer cheaper watch boxes out there

The box is good for storing guitar picks.

Sometimes I put mine in the box and open it and pretend I just got it. Wait how old am I again? Don’t tell me no one else has done this.

I do not use my boxes. When I had one watch I used the box. Now that I have a few the boxes are locked away.

Used watch - used box. Unworn watch - unused box - kind of logic!

[QUOTE=vin328i;9496475]Hello all,
I am wondering if people try to preserve their Rolex box by not using it.

I know that is a plus for resale value however I almost feel guilty for not using this modern green box.

What is modern about it? They've been the same for years

No I don’t other than to keep the extra links, hang tags etc,. I bought a watch roll and keep the watches in the safe. The large boxes just take up too much room.

No, my wife bought me a nice wood box that fits four watches. It sits on my dresser and the Rolex boxes are in the closet.

Boxes in a draw, papers etc in the safe, watches on the wrist or on a winder.

Nope! I keep them just in case I want to sell one someday. Best to have them for the future if needed.

I use all my watch boxes

They fill an empty space in a cupboard.
