Chances to buy 3712, 3711/1G at MSRP from an AD in my early days of collecting, but I passed.
I also had white and blue 5711/1A in my hand at an AD in Hong Kong in early 2016. Offered 10 off if I bought the pair. Said no. |

I was so close to getting the 5711/1P (before the 40th Nautilus Anniversary edition came out) at two different Salons and on both occasions, someone snatched it right before me (with one customer asking the Salon 24 hours to think about the purchase, and eventually purchased it)

If we sum up all the potential "loss of investment" from the posts in this thread, esp by passing up Nautilus before it was hot, it probably resembles that pile of money.

I passed on a 5712 on a SS bracelet in mint condition for under $20K in Sept 2017. It didn’t have box or papers but had it authenticated. Only problem is I didn’t believe the “story” of how the seller acquired it. I didn’t want to deal with it so I passed. They are selling for $60k today!
I don’t regret it because it could have been stolen and it’s not something I can am willing to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Was offered a bundle deal from an AD, buy Daytona at retail and buy 3 Tudors with it. Said no, now I own the 3 Tudors but no Daytona.
In 2017 was offered white 5711 from a grey dealer in dubai for 29k. Passed, now after price increase the msrp is 29k but good luck getting one (waiting on the list since then) Do you want more? |

A nicely sealed 5167-1a in spring 2017 was offered to me at AD out of the blue. I was always admired it but never did much research and understand the history of the aquanaut. So I wasnt prepared to pull the trigger.
Also I had just purchased my Rolex Daytona SS and Rolex SD4K earlier in the year. I just couldnt do it. Wasnt mentally prepared. But of course now I am ready :( (Passed on Omega silver Snoopy. I gave my credit card and then in the few minutes I had I chased down the SA and said I changed my mind.... That hurt too!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So many...a Tiffany 5712 1/a about 4 yrs ago. A 5711 for 22k numerous times. A 5711 1/p for 90 just a few years ago. A couple of 3711 1/g’s. This is just purchase as opposed to dumb trades over the years!

5980/1a blue dial below list - bought a Dato up-down instead. Still enjoy the Dato but it would be easy to add now if I had bought the 5980 back then.

I once passed on a 15202st at retail at an AD.
Another time a Patek dealer offer me a 5167 on rubber new and in the plastic around Christmas 2017. I still regret that one the most. I also miss when a 5711 was a 3month wait. Now I’m ready to buy the white one and everyone laughs at me. |

Could be worse, could be living in the UK.
Just look at these latest Chronext Naut prices - 5712 near £60K/$75K and 5711R at £80K!! And Watchfinder continually have no stock. https://www.chronext.co.uk/patek-philippe/nautilus |

Too many for me to list and now I have to pay that extra.
My list includes a 5712A, Green Daytona (yellow gold) and Hulk. |

Left tiffany without a white 5711/1a. Not really a regret, i don't care for the white, but damn those were the days!
