Problem I have with you posting these images, is that you just made my decision making even more difficult.

I have my name down for the 15500. But earlier this week I visited the AP boutique for an update, and at the same time I decided to try on a 15451 (just to get the feeling of 37mm, since they didn't have a 15450 in stock...). I must confess, I'm really torn now. I also like the dial on the 15450 much more than the 15500. However, I do think that the dial might be a bit on the small-ish side. I don't have a "big" wrist though, measuring 7" (but flat) so for me the 15450 actually sits better on the wrist.

I know it's different for everyone, how we are built, etc. But do you mind telling me your wrist size? Also, how do you feel when it comes to wearing the 15500 vs the 15450? Do you recognise any of the things I mentioned above regarding the dial feeling a bit "small"?

Cheers,
Joe
Joe, I have a 7" flat wrist as well and found the 15400 too large, ended up with a 15300. I think the 15500 looks even larger with the "empty" dial. Below is a comparison. I have one piece over 40mm left in my collection and I suspect it will not stick around much longer, I think 40 is the largest I can do, but that's for me. I much prefer the thickness on the bezel as well, the larger dial and thinner bezel on the 15400/15500 is not as appealing for me either.

Thank you for taking the time to post this. It's very much appreciated. :)

I've spent most of the evening doing as much research as possible regarding people's different views when it comes to 15400/500 vs 15450. And the more I read, and the more I take into consideration how the 15451 felt when I tried it earlier this week, I'm starting to lean more and more towards the 15450. To be continued...

Cheers,
Joe

15300 much nicer in my opinion. I also prefer the thick bezel and make a more balanced watch.

Congrats. I prefer the 15400 dial layout to the 15500.

Gorgeous watch!

You're right about the blue changing hue in the light. Looks phenomenal

Around 6.75, the 15450 is the perfect size for me

Did the watch require you to buy extra links or a 1.5 ?? Or did it fit perfectly ? I have the same wrist size as you and trying to figure out if the 15450 would fit me.

I had to order an extra link, it comes with 16 and is too tight. Clearwater is OOS on 1.5 links till November but 1 ended up being just right. I think the 15450 is the perfect size as the case tapers perfectly down the wrist.

Congrats, I love it ...
Nice to see the evolution of this classic: new movement, cleaner new aesthetic,
longer power reserve, more legible, etc. Well done AP!!

Interesting to see the 15400 and 15500 side by side to compare aesthetic improvements.

@vaxe thanks for the info! I just got my 15450. Definitely too tight and needs an additional link. Do you think the 1.5 from my 15400 will work ??

Incoming AP! (it’s blue!)

Congrats on your 15450!! Here’s my baby I just got. I feel like it fits way better than the 15400. I just need a link or two.
