I am not 100% certain that a rubber strap should be worn in the city nor brown shoes. However if you dress casually then I think it's a perfect watch

I wore the Aquanaut when I worked in banks in Switzerland and London. It was fine. The watch. Not working in a bank.

Not mine but my wife wears her Aquanaut every day for household duties, tennis, shopping etc. We’ve just returned from a few days in London and no problem at all daytime wear in Centre and walking back to hotel after theatre etc.
She’s had it nearly a year now-still looks like new.

I personally wouldn't wear it in London. I've heard first hand from multiple victims that thieves have been targeting affluent neighbourhoods (Knightsbridge, Mayfair etc) to mug people of their watches, and these c*nts know their stuff with regards to high end watches.

If you choose to do so, obviously be smart about it, eg always cover it with your sleeves, don't walk alone at night etc.

London sounds like a very dangerous place. I'm glad I live in America where I can wear my watches wherever I want (within reason).

London is too dangerous of a city for us Americans to travel to

But seriously, I have felt safer in London than in NYC, LA or Chicago. As always, you have to be aware of your surroundings after dark in any of these major cities.

Aquanaut can be worn daily in most places. But if you work in an industry that requires dark suits with black shoes in London, perhaps get an Aquanaut with a steel bracelet.

What? No!

I really don’t know what those people were doing, but I have never felt unsafe anywhere (especially not Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Hampstead etc), nor do I know a single person who has been mugged for their watch!

Same here, only know of famous people, like Michael McIntyre in Hampstead, and that makes the problem seem much greater than it really is, but still best to be smart as luxury watch awareness is far greater for muggers now than 5 years ago, probably the same in most large cities now.

Agreed. Celebrity + tabloids always create public hysteria. The Micheal McIntyre thing was outside a famous school during pickup, which didn't help. That said, it was a moped mugging (and seemed aimed at Micheal and his car with the watch incidental), and since the Met have given the ok to knock muggers off their bikes, incidents have almost entirely stopped...

That one shook me up because we played cricket against that school when I was young. It does look like the ramming has had an effect on the mopeds, about time.
