I currently own a DeepSea, since 2008. Love everything about it except the text on the ring lock. Totally distracts from teh watch in sunglight. Dim lighting, I don't mind. Messes with my OCD or something.

I was told that removing the cyclops was no big deal as the AR coating could be polished off. Here are the only pics I've found of one without:

I think it looks kind of odd TBH. I would swap the crystal for a non-cyclops one if only the date window was placed further right.

I love the clean look of no cyclops, but they're just so darn useful. Especially as I've gotten older.

I am aware it’s just an “illusion” created by the cyclops.. and the actual date placement on the dial is same as the dssd.
