Just a citizen pilot thing.

I’m a design/manufacturing engineer so some of my time at work is spent in machine shops. Definitely don’t want a nice one on in there!

Thanks everyone

Your watch is now officially polished and the value has tanked.

j/k! I have a bunch of scratches on most of my watches and a little light cape cod polish doesn't hurt. I pretty much stopped doing it because I caught myself doing it for every little scratch. I am learning to just leave it be.

Have a good one!

Thanks guys.

There is some really micro abrasion you can see under a bright light. Would this bother you?

You're forgiven.

Throw 3 hail mary's and call me in the morning.

If you scratch your car do you polish it out or do you let it turn into a rust bucket.

Go in peace.

It hurts, no matter what anyone says. The difference being, how long. Since I have other priorities in life than shiny watch, I forget quickly about my incidents.

I was unloading the dishwasher the other day wearing my ND sub and managed to put a nice hairline on the polished side face (nearly the whole length). Without thinking I went straight on amazon and got a cape cod cloth and polished it out (still slightly visible).

My question to you all... Am i still a purist?
"Rolex BLNR (oyster) - Special events"? lol

I got two good nicks to my Sub’s insert when I was at my daughters school and saw a stray soccer ball from a group of 5 yr olds come rolling by. So instead of just picking it up and tossing it back onto the field I for some inexplicable reason decided to stop the ball with my foot and tried to kick it back to them.

Well I somehow wound up on top of the ball like a circus seal and then did a full mid air somersault landing flat on my back and slamming my watch into the blacktop.

Besides the damage to my watch, head and arms I had the embarrassment of the cutest little girl tell me I need to practice more and that I should go see the nurse so I don’t get an infection.

I got over the humiliation and the nicks pretty quick and now I just smile when I notice them.
