For some reason I have been fixated on a WG DD. Not sure why. Trying one on did not help the situation... Loved the look and the weight.

Hang in there! (That’s what I’ll do.)
I’ve got plenty and don’t need another watch, but it is such a lovely piece. And it’s a fun hobby - to collect.

While I'm hoping to pick up a Pepsi, blue dial SS Skydweller, Patek Nautilus, and AP Royal Oak eventually in life, I'm also tired of waitlists and thinking of making my next purchase an FP Journe, Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Nageurs de Combat, Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris, or an Omega Seamaster 300 Master Coaxial. Or perhaps a nice Sinn lol.

2. 14270 Explorer I
3. 1675 Explorer II Polar (or black if a better deal presents)
4. OP 39 white dial (will consider 36 and even 34, but have never tried them on, though I do wish the 36mm had the same dial as the 34 and 39)..

Leaning heavily towards the OP as my first, because I'd buy new and get the AD experience, etc. and I think the OP is the perfect every situation type of watch, more so than the Sub, plus I already have the Omega Planet Ocean (arguably better than the 5 digit Sub in some aspects) that was my daily for 4-5 years, but now hardly ever gets worn as my tastes change to more conservative styles without a bezel and date. Though it may make sense to get the Sub or Exp II as the price seems to be going higher used, and the OP will likely be the same for a while... decisions.

1675 is GMT Master, not Explorer II

A submariner ND would be nice, a Planet Ocean is also under consideration, in addition I have looked at a few Longines watches from their Heritage range to give me a different style in the collection.

Everything will depend on how finances are when we get through this pandemic, until then watches are something to be looked at from afar and not purchased.

I really have an appetite for dress watches at the moment. Just bought a WG Lange 1, so probably no purchases in the immediate future. However, when the watch fund recovers from that, I could see going for a Vacheron Traditionelle. The small seconds really sings to me with its beautifully pure 4400 movement, but might be a tad small. Maybe the ultrathin automatic would be an alternative with a bit more width, but that lacks the small seconds subdial... ah, tough decisions, luckily plenty of time left to think about it.

I know its not the most popular Rolex and people seem to either love them or hate them but I like the Yachtmaster 2. I tried a on St St model in an AD in St Andrews a few years back and thought it was a stunning watch. So once things get back to normality or as near to normality as possible I may go looking for one.

+1 here. I would love to venture outside of the Rolex brand and get a nice dress watch. I’ve had my eye on a JLC perpetual for quite some time. For the quality and price it’s a truly an amazing piece IMO.

I have three lined up:

Blue Sky-Dweller - Been on order for over a year now. Logic says sooner than later I will add this one to my collection.

Cellini Date - White Gold / Blue Dial / Brown strap ....gift for my father

Yachtmaster 37 - Stainless Steel / Rhodium Dial ....gift for my wife

This is a good pick. The movement was based on a Seiko design and Tag modified it....plenty of good reading about this one. Go over to calibre11.com and poke around there if you have not already done so.

Next watch will probably be some sort of non Rolex, for under $1,500.00, that just catches my eye.
Next Rolex purchase could be a wedding or graduation gift, for family member.

Here in CT most business are closed. My AD closed all five of their stores. I am laid off so my next big purchase is going to be Charmin T.P. if I can find some.

Exp2 Polar, Sub date and Speedy Pro are next on my list, but I can’t decide what order I have a diver, the exp1 and a gmt so leaning towards speedy for chrono option & versatility.

Would love to also add a zenith defy and a JLC further down the line...
