The reason I don't wear my Rolex collection more often is for security. The only place I feel 101% comfortable wearing any premium watch, is Hong Kong.

It's a shame really cause I really love watches and would like to keep buying but with the fact I don't feel comfortable wearing them in the UK, of which I spend 80% of my time, it's seems such a waste.

Bonus Pic!
Luckily hasn't stopped me and here is my Daytona now, this was taken in oct 2019 at the AD having the Oysterflex fitted with the Smarty endlinks. In actual fact, haven't worn it since then...

I really like that combo with the smarty links. Do you have a close up of the smarty links with the rubber strap? Btw, which rubber strap is that?

If I ever get mine, I definitely will do that. It looks so great!

More and more that I see these pics I believe I did the right thing by pulling the trigger on black dial instead of the white dial. I have been the white dial in person and for some reason the interplay of the black ceramic bezel and the dial is off. The black seems like a very understated and classy watch. I think it will really complement my GMT II BLRO and Bluesy 116613LB.

I love the look of the chronograph seconds hands on a daytona. Based on the angle and the alignment with the Rolex crown, it looks like Poseidon's trident!!!

I suggest you go to http://www.smartyendlinks.com/ to see what the endlinks look like off the watch and how they fit. They are held “captive” by the strap itself. My strap is the two piece OEM Oysterflex, both sides EE. US dealers are not supposed to sell parts. My AD technician sized me using their kit but the manager vetoed selling them to me. I got some outside help sourcing the pieces but was asked not to say who/where as no one wants to get their dealer crossed with RolexUSA.

I would if I had it to hand but it's stored.

The strap is original Rolex Oysterflex, the clasp is original one from the metal bracelet, the endlinks are smarty.

can't say I do but I only use it for time. I have never used the Chronograph part which would be a problem for me as I will need reading glasses. To see the time, it's fine.

What you can't see in a flat 2d pic is how the light reflects of the hands. So in real life wear, any little movement of the wrist, the reflection changes, hence the hands easily stand out from the background.

If you see the video review that’s posted here the readability is fantastic.

Unfortunately crime for me has been too close to home. Hence I am extra vigilant.

My brother had his Rolex stolen at knife point near his home and I had attempted break in to the house to get the keys of my AMG whilst I was asleep at 5am.

Until this happens to you (I hope it doesn't) enjoy carefree life.

I know the feeling. I’ve had the back glass smashed out of my car and luggage stolen with valuables inside during a work trip.

I don’t live care free. I’m more cautious now, but I still travel with and use the things that bring happiness to my life.

If I didn’t think I could do that, I wouldn’t own them.
