Really not a big fan of the 15500, case proportions, position of the date window, index/hands shape etc

126613LB for me :)

Both are great watches, but I would go for Royal Oak.

In the AP I love the dial and the bracelet. I hate the octogonal bezel, the visible screws on it, the angular case shape. In the Bluesy 126613LB, I love everything. Easy choice for me: TT Bluesy, don't want the full gold, I'd flip it if given to me.

RO is no doubt beautiful and amazing craftsmanship but owning my Bluesy has been fantastic. When I wear it, I can’t take my eyes of the beauty of the blue and gold of it agains the stainless.

As an occasionally flash piece, you'd want a gold RO, not the steel one.

The steel RO is more a daily watch.

The way the RO plays with the light, it looks like a disco ball on the wrist. I don't think you need PM to be flashy IMO.

Bluesy is very beautiful watch but it’s no comparison to 15500ST.

15500ST is a lot more expensive than Bluesy especially on secondary market.

Bluesy is more reasonable price.

Always get the one that sing to you the most.

Possibly in the minority here. While I have an enormous respect for AP as a manufacture, the design does nothing for me.
I'd pick the LB anytime.

i feel like it's a watch that needs to be seen in person because it's not a watch meant to be photographed, but it's definitely a love it or hate it design

It’s truly the bracelet that steals the show IMO.
Wearing one is the sun is like having faceted mirrors that each reflect light in a specific way. Quite beautiful. To be honest, never was a fan of oyster bracelets. Rounded and curved, they remind me of when every piece of digital design had to include some sort of gradient.

Give me sharp, flat reflections anytime!

I had a 15300 years ago and traded it for a 116613 BL worst mistake I ever made. Rectified the situation recently and now have a beautiful 15300 back.

I do have to say there really is a level of truth to this. I’ve been the same way for years where I never really liked the royal oak line. I saw one in person the other day on a gentleman purchasing a watch at my Rolex AD and it really looks much nicer in person. It kind of has me rethinking my stance on them.

However still as it pertains to the question I’m in the minority that would still rather have the 16613. Even though I do admit the RO is better in person, I still believe the Rolex is a bit more of a durable long term everyday watch with a classic enough design aesthetic that it is a really timeless design.

Yes I realize the RO is a very old design as well and could be deemed classic by many, but just stylistically speaking classically design. The Rolex form and function has really become much of the watch industry design standard.

it's just impossible to photograph the bracelet, it's something that needs to be seen in the flesh and especially when it's under boutique lighting it can make you do a complete 180 on the watch

Couldn’t agree more. I never thought I would like them as much as I did in the flesh

RO 15500, but not blue dial. Black dial with this watch is so much more sleek.
