Bruh, my thoughts exactly. 2 years to get all that is just.... wow! I would keep ALL those pieces and with that said, You should be able to skipped the line for a Daytona.

1 just keep the hulk (discontinued)
2 sell the rest (you can find them anytime and anywhere, and everyone has those pieces)
3 get yourself a 116500LN (and keep it)
4 go for AP or PP (that is where u end up when you get serious in the watch game)

Wow, you accumulated a lot of nice pieces in a short time - congrats. All from AD?

To your question: I’d keep Sub, BLRO, and DJ (I’m into classic iterations that have stood the test of time). Use the proceeds from selling the others to get whichever next piece you like the most. I’d say AP or Daytona. Best wishes

I would keep the Sub ND, Pepsi or Batman and DJ.

With your sale proceeds you can add a Daytona when your AD has one or a Polar Exp 2. More than 3-4 it starts to get hectic.

If you are trading some of those into an AD, I think you could absolutely get a stainless Daytona, especially if the AD directly sells used Rolex to the public as the AD can then sell those watches for above MSRP.

I'm a huge fan of my Sub, but if you aren't wearing it much, it doesnt make much sense for you to keep it.

Go big or go home, you'll end up chasing those anyway, so save yourself some time and go after them now.
It was fun at the beginning. It is not anymore, as there will always be ''the next watch''. That's why I want to downsize and add max 1 or 2 pieces.

My entire collection is around EUR 60K MSRP which is below the retail price of the Platona. I don't see myself putting that amount of money into one watch.
Jumbo - not interested. I'd rather have 15450st blue.
5711 - not interested. I'd rather have 5712 or 5726, one day when I feel ready for such a watch.

TBH, I don't have Instagram and sporadically use FB.
I do however visit TRF often and consume content on YouTube about watches.
Out of all models I bought, I think the CHNR is the only one I was ''influenced'' to ask for, seeing all the incomings.

Thanks.
Pepsi, Batgirl and Hulk are hyped but all linked to important milestones when I was purchasing. I might only get PLC Oyster bracelet for the BLNR, while I wait for the impossible Daytona.

SkyDweller is too big and bulky for my wrist. I have tried it twice and did not feel comfortable.

Thanks, it is an option as one of the ADs sells pre-owned. But they would only be interested in the ones I have not purchased from them.

The Sub is fantastic, it is my first Rolex and back in the day was everything I wanted. They say never sell a steel sports model and never sell your first Rolex.

Thanks. And it makes sense to keep one piece from each model. I though about that one as well.
Less is more for me so indeed 3 to 4 pieces would be my ideal number.

Thank you! Calling ADs around was like a part time job at some point.
I am thinking to source an Oyster bracelet for a BLNR to keep it a bit different from the BLRO. One of the ADs confirmed they can do it.

Will see about Patek, I personally think that I am not there yet. There are two models that I like - 5712 and 5726, but to put 40K into SS watch.....my most expensive purchase so far is the CHNR at 14K.

Any daytona, preferably a gold variety. Close second DD40

Now alternate to 1, if I had your current collection and wanted to get to any 3, I'd only keep BLNR, CHNR and sell everything else. Buy new bluesy and daytona.

5712 is a great piece and one I highly recommend. If you are able to sell the Sub, DJ and CHNR plus a little cash you are there.

Collection status & thoughts

I’d keep the 4 on the left and be done.

I was being tongue-in-cheek with my post and I meant it as a light-hearted joke, but there is obviously an element of truth in there.

Buy whatever makes you happy.

I've been on a similar journey over the last 30yrs and now I have a collection but only two watches I wear often, one of them is a 5712 I wear at the weekend and the other is a dress watch that I wear most days for work. The only other watch that gets worn is a Sub Date occasionally because sometimes I just feel like wearing one.

Ironically I never chased any of the watches I mentioned in my first post. I don't dislike them or anything but I don't see the crazy attraction of the 5711, the Jumbo or the Platona like some do.

I’d keep the no date sub and BLRO. Then add a PM Daytona or DD.

If those were mine, I’d only keep Batgirl
Except for the DJ, they all look the same

Then wait for a Daytona

And get a DD or AP RO (eg, 15202, 15500) to replace the DJ

Then maybe a ROO for something sportier if you want a 4th

Thank you! I think that's the direction I am heading.
Keep BLRO, LV and BLNR, get an Oyster bracelet for the BLNR and in the meantime wait for a Daytona.

Selling these 3 should be easy and indeed the proceeds will be enough to get the PP.
The difficult part is to find an AD/Boutique.

Thanks. No offence taken.

Congrats on the 5712, it is my favorite Nautilus.
I am still in the early stages of the journey & that's why I appreciate hearing from people who have been through this.
My taste will probably evolve as time goes by.
I think if it will be Patek, it has to be with complications. In that sense 5711 never appealed to me.

Lovely collection. If you're set on downsizing, perhaps consider keeping two of the Sub/GMT models (I'd choose the Hulk and Pepsi) and a third piece with a different aesthetic (Your DJ or adding a Daytona, DD, AP, etc). Let us know what you decide

From my perspective your collection looks like the top wanted list. It's nice but you've bought a bunch of watches you won't wear and from what I can see it's looking like you're still chasing the dragon. That fun but it's a bit on the expensive side unless you're comfortable buying and selling watches for profit which is certainly possible but also work if you like doing that. From my perspective I prefer to own watches I really want and not be continually trading them. Enjoy your journey!!
