I love the 5270p size and everything but am glad i could compare the two as i enjoy the humble, under-the-radar nature of 5320g.

5320g a good day-to-day watch

i have never worn a watch so many days in a month. i'd call it semi casual, good with John Lobb and cowboy boots, bad with Birkenstocks

What else is in the collection from Patek? If buying all these strap watches from an AD they need to get you an 11A Green or 11A Baguettes.

Asking out of my limited experience with Patek AD: if you were to buy a 5270, what would be reasonable to expect: 10% discount, high priority for an in production Nautilus (5712/5726/5990), both, neither? I have no interest in bundling or chasing hot models but in my humble opinion this is why the sports line enters my mind: because you need something to change into when you take off a grand complication to give your toddler a bath.

Congratulations my friend. Even if you go with other Patek models, this one would be a keeper for you.

A teaser shot from my AD. Since tomorrow is holiday, FedEx will pick it up on Tuesday.

Will do a proper wrist shot when it gets here.

Tried this on today. Very hard to say no. Ultimately I prefer the J. Absolutely lovely piece. A grail of grails IMHO.

Looks stunning. I loved trying it on. Frankly you got me thinking about the J version as well which from the pictures i find elegant...but i am a sucker for a bit of color, just a bit, and at times a bit more.

I think if we seek two 5270s as a bundle we may be likely to smell some steel or rubber in the future. You can likely gallop here faster than I can speed walk towards your way, so ball is in your court lol. Drinks on me :)

LOL. My honor and pleasure. Great out of box thinking (at least the drinks). Dinner will be on me, anywhere but Le Bilboquet

So funny you say that: we are in a food and wine club, we had a group dinner there of about 50 people. The watercress in an appetizer was tainted and nearly everyone got food poisoning. I will not go back there. But I’m not far from there and have a watering hole in the basement, park your horse out back, my dogs will love them, and both dinner and drinks on me:)

Southern hospitality at its best. My horse is into fancy armagnacs.
