Best bet is to go to an AD and do a test drive on all of them.

These are my current stable, the BB GMT being the choice if only going w/ one watch.

If I were going to get my first Tudor, it'd be the BB58 blue. They're certainly more available than Rolex, but at least around here they're not in the display case, but ask, they probably have one in the back. That's how I got mine.

OK. If you're concerned about "collectible" or "highly sought after," forget the Tudor. This is coming from one of the biggest Tudor fans on the forum.

If, however, you're looking for a watch that will deliver unbelievable bang for the buck and punch way above its weight classification, then you're in the right place.

If I could only own one, it would probably be the blue Pelagos, the watch I've done literally everything with, hiking, swimming, hot tub, golf, you name it. I couldn't just own one, however, so my number 2 would be the GMT.

For me, the new BB ceramic is the first Tudor I've given serious thought to owning: https://www.tudorwatch.com/en/watche...m79210cnu-0001

I also am intrigued by the new full bronze BB 58, but I wonder about the smell of the watch (like an old penny?) and the patina (even if some say it isn't an issue).

Yes
No
The old ones.

Blue Pelagos. No doubt. Or maybe a North Flag. If the NF had the Pelagos clasp, it'd be a no brainer. As it is, I've had ETA BBs and in-house BBs, and all 3 variations of the Pelagos. Blue Pelagos is my choice, because I don't have to worry about it. I like the Chronos, but just don't love them.

Me too
Great Lumed bezel
The wrist presence is too much for me due to its size on my skinny wrists
If I could carry it off, I’d get the LHD version

As much as I love my BBR ETA is tough to beat the versatility of a Ranger.

More space between springbar and case, plus lug holes, makes it easier to change straps.

I like the bracelet with non-fitted end links, too, which is a nod to the 1950s Tudors and a nice change from the uniform fitted endlinks used across the Rolex and Tudor range right now. The 1016-style dial, domed crystal and red seconds hand also add to the vintage aesthetic.

I also like that Rolex registered the name Ranger in 1929, almost a quarter century before they registered the Explorer name. Costing significantly less than half the price of the Explorer, the Ranger is also better value.

Thanks for this, Beast.

I own both the Explorer and Ranger and never noticed the blacked-out rehaut of the Ranger.

BTW, that is a handsome Bund. I don't recognize it - which brand is it?

Many of us own or hope to own Rolex, but it’s not been mentioned that the overall prices of Tudor make them a great bargain. No hesitation about them at all.

I went with this first

Then had to have this

If I were to add a third, it would definitely be the blue BB58.

As others have said, the latest BB chronos are quite popular as well.

Let us know what you pick

I hope these new era Tudor are a better watch than the old 90's ones. I had a Sub to use at work as a beater, ordered it new unseen circa 1997....felt cheap and clunky. A big disappointment. Now I see they've made them collectible and ask 4k up for them. The new ones look great, but do they feel better made?

I got it from here: https://www.rios1931shop.com but they don't seem to make them any more. My old buddy Ralph, in the post above yours, also has his Ranger on the same strap.

Thanks Adam, I reached out to them to "put me on the list." I hope to "get the call".

You're welcome. Here are some more pics from when I first got it about six years ago. I notice it was $48 back then.

70+ hour power reserve, in-house COSC certified true GMT movement, 200m water resistance, and comes with a 5 year warranty. This watch screams value and adventure.

There’s no right or wrong answer here but after having multiple vintage and modern Tudors (all of which I’ve loved) I came back to this.

Yeah, another great option, the ETA Burgundy. Original and best

I’ve owned 2 Tudors and they are great watches for the money. No, they won’t hold their money and for me the colours (apart from the blue Pelagos) can appear dull and washed out, especially the BB58 blue.

Anything can be collectable.

Can’t argue with that logic. Tough decisions with Tudor these days with the line up.

Although I'm a happy BB58 owner, I think the future classic in the current Tudor lineup is the Pelagos.
