For me I would squeeze out the extra money and get the bracelet model. Then you can always add an aftermarket Rubber B as desired. The price for the OF is too close to the full gold not to opt for the full gold.

I agree with this. But if OP is determined to buy one my vote is the RG.

Personally, I’d buy the yellow gold one and pay for a dial swap (confirm with dealer first). Since you’re getting the baguette platinum Daytona, I’d probably go for the “Newman” dial. But what a wonderful decision!!

Edit: I’d want to keep both dials though.

I would buy the YG. I actually think it looks great with the Oyster flex. I would not pass on them, wear them for a bit maybe you love it or maybe you hate it. If the latter, flip it- I think these are reading around 50k. I see no downside

No way. Diamonds on a Daytona = Hard Pass.

This is what i have heard from a dealer as well...

Rolex doesn't want ADs to look like they have empty stores. So if the AD didn't get the sample watches yet, they're expected to wait and hold watches for presentation for certain periods of time prior to selling.

Is the meteorite Daytona allocation an AD decision alone in USA? Many countries now only getting them supplied to "approved" individuals by Rolex (nominated by their AD) to minimise chances of flipping.

Are these watches being held back to be for exhibition only?

The YG is really nice, but I agree with some others.

The cushion cut diamonds look cheap to me. The baguettes on the 116506 are special and look timeless and perfect.

The OysterFlex bracelet is far more superior than any aftermarket rubber Rolex by the way it is constructed. Plus with the OysterFlex Daytonas you get the ceramic bezel (vs metal bezel on full gold) which to my eyes is much more appealing and goes well with the rubber bracelet.

Not a fan of either. I'd just look forward to the 116506.

Unless it's something that you really want, I wouldn't buy it just because it got "offered" to you.

Why? It's not like they'll sell to anyone who walks in, haha. Honestly, not digging the black dials and diamonds.

Keep in mind that if the OF segments needs to be changed out to adjust to your arm size, you are more than likely to receive damaged lugs occurring during the strap change. They are TIGHT to the lugs.

Just saying that this is a common problem with OF watches, especially if it a PM.
