But you wouldn't want to be seen wearing one!

Here’s my 2c: yes, you can wear a Rolex for pretty much anything. That’s the one thing they are really good at. They are extremely robust and reliable. That was the starting point how they became a fashion icon brand and later a silly display of “wealth” etc (unfortunately).
They are not the “best” or most accurate watches, but really a mass produced, water and shock proof watch. They were the G Shock before there was G Shock. I have worn mine for golf, tennis, skiing, climbing, pistol and rifle shooting, and don’t take my watches off for sex unless handcuffs are introduced. When my Speedmaster was my daily main watch I took it off for golf, cycling and shooting. It’s not 100% waterproof unlike my Sea Dweller. It’s not judgement safe though from people who otherwise know nothing about watches. So no office time for it since I work with a lot of doctors and other stupid people. [/sarcasm] |

If you can do it in your skin, you can wear a Rolex while doing it.

I wear either my Exp 39mm or Sub in the gym and afterwards in the steamroom/sauna.
The Exp 39mm has also inadvertantly completed a full cycle in the washing machine with no faults mechanically but the crown unscrewed and let in moisture so the dial and hands had to be replaced. I have absolutly full confidence in my Rolex watches to do anything! |

It should be ok as long as you don’t walk your dog with it.

Yes you can. Just make sure you don't hit it against your sports equipment.

I have played hundreds of rounds of golf with my explorer. Shot guns, changed oil, cleaned gutters… no issues!

Rolex's are dive, racing, yachting, mountaineering and spelunking watches, they are not durable enough for tennis or golf. Beware |
