Damn; I guess I'll have to junk mine (without) as it does stack up.

Not a fan normally, but baguettes really complements this reference well.

Prefer Lee’s edition (without baguettes) as the brown ascents on the sub dials add better contrast

As much as I liked the plain dial in mine…I met up with Dr. Tom one year and saw his diamond dial Platona.

I think the diamond dial is better looking.

Of course - is that a custom dial?

Wondered why the boat indices rather than baguettes with all the other gems.

It’s all personal taste but I don’t like diamonds or blinged out watches of any sort.

The platinum with the classic markers is stunning yet understated and the perfect watch dressed up or down.

Forum momentum the last couple of years has definitely shifted to baguettes. I love them both. To me, the baguettes are very subtle and beautiful and go well with the watch. They make the watch look a bit more formal than the more casual-looking contrasting sub-dial look. The chestnut sub rings look more "traditional Daytona" to me. I don't think there are any bad choices. I have sometimes considered trying to source a baguette dial to swap every coupla years, but would not ever give up my original dial if that was required.

I'm surprised no one has brought up the hideous brown color of the bezel and sub rings yet, as that usually makes an appearance in these discussions!

I kinda think the baguette dial is a bit less of an everyday watch, so if that is important to you, consider whether you would wear that out and about everyday, or more for special occasions.

I got your back. There are some fugly brown color bezels and sub rings! Ridiculous! I enjoy only for the shade of the dial which is mostly mitigated by the ugly brown. Lol.

I was on list for with, but when I decided wait was too long I changed my mind and went for the standard dial from a gray dealer. The baguette dial is beautiful - but the lack of conspicuous rings made it look less like a Daytona to me. Also I thought the brown subdials helped balance (tone down) the brown bezel. Happy with my choice.

I completely agree. I am not a diamond dial person in any way but on this watch it just rocks for either males or females. At this level GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!

I always preferred the non baguette one, for the brown sub dials contrast.

Until I saw both side by side. The baguette one blows the other one away.

Works perfectly with baguettes and no brown sub dials. It makes it even more unique and special amongst Daytonas.

I would say with diamonds because I prefer the blue subdials over the brown ones.

With diamonds. I've had both and the diamond dial is perfection without being too flashy. I never thought I'd wear a watch with diamonds until this one came along.

Actually I think the blue subdial rings with non diamond markers would be my favorite
