Thank you for the comments and kind words everyone.

One more thought about this reference. Prior to seeing it in the metal I was curious about legibility of the hands against the meteorite dial- if anyone else is wondering, 95% of the time it’s easy to read with no issues. That 5% where the reflection is just right and the hands and dial get the right reflective angle they can be hard to see, like an optical illusion. But it doesn’t happen often, and a slight tilt of the wrist and it’s back to legible. Minor critique- I do wish Rolex did black hands like on the Exp 2 polar (216570).

The watch on post #6 of this thread seems to have a black outline on the hands. Never noticed the change, yours are silver

Good observation, I wonder when Rolex made this change.

No change. It’s an optical illusion because of the camera flash.

Are your hands black, or silver? If black, did you have them put on, or did it come this way from Rolex? Beautiful markings on that dial, you have some darker shades and speckling, very cool-

Love the dial but legibility is lacking on this one.

Had it on my wrist in FL while in direct light and it's a rough one.

The side-by-side pic you posted somewhat demonstrates that.

That being said, I obviously understand timekeeping may not be the primary concern when purchasing this one.

Congratulations! My AD let’s me try on special pieces when they have something that I think I’d like and right before Christmas I got to try this on. It was beyond amazing in the flesh! The weight was also noticeable…simply loved it. Alas it was already spoken for, but wow…enjoy

Everything is original, some pictures look different because of the lighting and camera flash as above mention.

Wow, had you not said something, I would’ve thought black hands for sure. Thank you for posting pics, this dial and hands really can change colors and appearance.
