I have the blue Omega SMP and that's what gets my vote. It does feel big and chunky, especially with the OEM bracelet but paired with the OEM strap, it's a great watch. I did own a Tudor BB "smiley" but sold it because once I had it on, I never bonded with it. Although looks is a subjective thing, Tudor doesn't do anything for me, especially with the history of the date wheel issue on that pepsi.

I have the Tudor BB GMT on the bracelet but wear it on a blue Vanguard rubber strap with an aftermarket Tudor clasp. It’s had a good number of compliments in that configuration…

If you "NEED" the GMT function then the Tudor. Otherwise the Omega, MUCH, MUCH better watch.

Finally saw the Tudor Pepsi in person (although on brown leather). It’s looks better in person and really like the matte dial.

I have not visited my AD In over 2.5 years. Not sure if my advisor even recognized me. Went to Longs in Braintree, MA. Either way, those guys are top notch. We had a great convo on the watches and also on the explorer 2 white dial. Big fans of the exp 2 white dial over there. I do want to add one of these to my collection at some point also! This AD sold me my beloved rootbeer last I met with them. Love love love that watch. Just have had a lot going on personally to be able to visit until now (new baby, lost job inbetween , Covid). All is good now and I’m looking to get 2 watches this year. One of the 2 mentioned here and another Rolex hopefully (maybe the explorer 2 white dial as I’ve been thinking about since I left the dealer!).
Tudor Pepsi is a fantastic watch on a bracelet, scratched my itch for the BLRO for about 18 months till I got my Rolex and thoroughly enjoyed wearing it. A great watch and IMO slightly better than the white dial Seamaster. I am not biased either, I own the Seamaster 300m Bond edition so I have split loyalty. Both superb pieces whatever you choose.

I know you already decided on the Omega (good choice), but just to give me .02 cents.

I would go Omega as well. There is something off to me about the proportions of the Tudor GMT. I am not sure if its the height of the watch itself, or dial spacing/indicies, or the GMT hand, but it does nothing for me.

It’s got to be the Tudor. I’m Sorry but the Omega looks like an oversized child’s watch, from the ridiculous hands to the “my first bezel” font. I’m sorry but Omega are so much better than this, they just didn’t even try with this one.

Omega - tried one on at a dealer over the holidays and it is a pretty sharp looking watch. Definitely on my short list.

Tudor Pepsi or Omega 300 white dial on rubber?

I was is the same predicament as you. Weighing the pros and cons, and trying to decide which one to add to my collection. I did my research, and tried them on my wrist.

On paper, the Omega was the winner. It felt great on the wrist. But, I struggled with what I call the wart (the helium release valve). Then, I put on the Tudor. Wow, is it glorious! It is a thicker watch, but it wears so comfortably on my wrist. I struggled with the “slab side” design, but I quickly got over that.

I opted for the Tudor, for now. It has grown to get the most wrist time, in the rotation. It feels, and looks, so good on the wrist! It has a classic, timeless look.

The good news is, you are choosing between two beautiful watches. Pick the one that sings to your heart, and you will be happy. Pick the other one up next time!

Omega in a landslide. That's not a great Tudor reference.

I think you'll be happy with the choice you made, OP. While the Tudor Pepsi is certainly attractive, I've owned both these watches and I only have one of them left in my collection -- the white dial Omega. I never tire of looking at it and the best word I can use about wearing it and noticing it on my wrist is "uplifting." Always brings a smile to my face. I hope you enjoy it!
