Kirk Freeport has an interesting selection of brands, and in addition to look at Rolex and PP, just asked them what types of ALS are in stock :P

Seems strange that wealthy people who opt to visit popular tourist hotspots then ask if they are safe.
Gran Cayman is the one of the safest places in the Caribbean but no matter where you are in the world, you need to be careful with expensive watches. My approach is to take one durable watch (typically a Submariner) that I wear in the resort. I leave no valuables in the hotel safe regardless of how prestigious the hotel. When in town, I take off the watch and keep it in a very safe place. Hope this helps. Enjoy your holiday! |

Go ahead and go, take and wear the Rolex...but wear a helmet, preferably full face style. I recommend Shoei.

I went the the caymans right before the pandemic broke and wore my ss submariner. Wore it everywhere, never took it off, never felt uneasy anywhere I went. Let the big dawg eat!

Thanks folks, leaving on Sunday for two weeks. Sounds like a pretty safe destination.

Superpop - looks like we’re both going - and as an added bonus, effectively today, no more lateral flow testing in Grand Cayman

There are a lot of nice watches here, spotted ONLY @ resort:
Daytona SS, SS bezel + black dial, one of the managers 116509 - blue dial OF RG YM 37mm TT GMT - Root beer? TT DJ - multiple Sub - multiple incl PM Exp - multiple At MIA Centurion Lounge - RG AP RO, Lange 1 (first Lange I’ve ever spotted since getting mine), Sub/GMT galore. So far, I’ve seen in MIA and GCM MORE sports watches than DJ’s. It was fun watch spotting. Probably a lot that I didn’t catch as well! |

If I'm worried about wearing a watch somewhere, I'm not going there. Let alone bring my wife or kids. |

As everyone else has said GC is very safe. My first suggestion to you would be not to bring any watch at all. My second suggestion would be to buy a Rolex in GC since you don’t have watch with you.

Decent selection of all sizes up to 36mm, with over 30 pieces. The 36mm were TT, motif and palm dial. Very nice people over at Kirk Freeport and likely have more pieces than others due to the strict reopening schedule. First cruise ships expected next month.
They have a lot of brands there and it was fun to just take your time and window shop :). |
