For true mechanical timepiece enthusiasts, Bvlgari should already be within their collection by this point IMHO.

GP is a distinct possibility, because of the Laureato (and its appeal when PP/AP/VC stainless unavailable). But it's a "next tier" vs "next best" in many ways, so remains to be seen.

Zenith wouldn't surprise me. Beautiful stuff, and people will "hear about it" because of all the Zenith Daytona chatter out there.

Tough answers to provide. Everyone on these forum tend to be well versed on brands but here are some suggestions:
AkriviA, Romain Gauthier, Urwerk, Petermann Bedat, H. Moser, and Cartier. Pieces available if you wait. For big brands: Omega is a great brand that can have available pieces.

I'd guess Parmigiani Fleurier is going to do well under Guido Terreni

Czapek

i am liking Czapek and what they are doing.... will the momentum continue, i hope so, but it will depend how they will benefit from their Antarctique traction...

tough for those small guys, but i hope they make it. getting a PP or AP is becoming impossible unless we go grey, so we need serious back ups.

I hope that the next big thing will be Petermann-Bedat.

Agree with what others have said - to be the next thing you need scale. You would think that by now people start looking at non-sports watches of the big three. So Patek complications like the 5205/5235/5960, VC Fiftysix range and, who knows, perhaps AP’s Code. All of these can still be had below RRP and offer very good value for money in today’s market.

For now i think Czapek would be for true collectors of niche brands only. They only produce around 1 piece a day, and around 300-400 a year? Even if they double capacity, that would still be less than 1k a year. Really one of not many

VC on the other hand is on a different scale. But still far behind Rolex, PP and AP. It'll take time

I believe MOSER and GLASHUTTE ORIGINAL are the next big thing

You get too horology for a fraction of the price and relatively short wait (for now)
I expect that we will be having threads upon threads in a year or so regretting how we passed on those pieces when they were available!

I remember when the hulk was sitting in cases and when I was offered 23% discount on the platona and now look where they are!!!

Understand, and yes history favors the brave.

On the other side of the proverbial coin, some 'independents' have grown far too big and so are now producing more timepieces than they have the proper staff and 'hand decoration time' for. That's a problem as build quality has suffered as did service (not referring to VC). With brands like Laine, you get an even more personal touch, and Czapek does offer quite a bit of customization if you so choose.

The big plus side is that some of us want something more unique, more personal, not something you see many others wear at GTG that we see time and again year after year. This is part of what makes an FPJ so special.

Maybe it's just me, yet there does seem to be some interesting tension building between the new horology technique enthusiasts with independents and the Old School disciples of the Big Box Three.

VC is doing great and glad they continue to succeed. Well earned

a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. Willing to bet a percentage of those poached, make another VC purchase rather than an AP. You build brand loyalty one purchase at a time.

I went out on a limb with this as I couldn’t try on on before purchasing it. Im extremely pleased with virtually every aspect thus far. I recommend it to anyone looking for a swimmable HH ultra thin.
