Vintage mens watches are often a good woman’s size watch these days. Reference 1500 for example in 34mm

I can't agree. 36 fits the vast majority of men just fine. 34 is top size for a "lady" in my book.
I'm from the pre-size hype generation. Most men wore 34 when I was a kid and I'm talking big blue collar men.

We are in the market for a Rolex for my daughter who turns 30 this year. She is petite - less than 5 feet and about 100 lbs. I was thinking a 34 or a 31, but she tried on a 36 and I thought it looked great - and so did she. I am expectring a Datejust 36 this week and I hope she likes it!

The size is relative to the gal’s taste.
And she may want a variety of sizes for different models and occasions.

I’d say buying a sampler of 5 or 6 models ranging from smaller to larger, (maybe a vintage one, too) should do the trick.

Just like a guy…she’ll need something elegant for formal occasions. Something to knock around while doing daily duties. Something for track days in her Ferrari and for scuba days.

How is this hard to see?
