2.5 years.

Black Daytona arrived and 2.5 years after that I got the call for the white Daytona that I ordered the day I picked up the black Daytona.

Set it and forget it…

There are good AD’s out there.

The longest has been 3 years for my Panda Daytona, all other Rolex watches has been offer with no waiting time. Got last year an Explorer II Polar , and a Sub date. Waiting on a Pepsi for about 8 months now and still waiting.

I'm curious to see how my next potential acquisition turns out. My AD rep texted me that I would be getting the next one. No purchase history at this AD but I gave a genuine story about why I wanted it. In my case, there is a sort of "deadline," as I would need it in about 2 months.

I have NEVER gotten the call at any AD past a few months. I have been offered professional models anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months after I asked. Anything past that timeframe has never led to anything.

There is no list, unless that model is not desired. If a VIP wants the model you want, they get it.

My AD that I am trying to get his watch from made a good point, he said people with humble purchase histories can get some of the hotter models, especially if they build a good relationship with the sales staff. His reasoning was that eventually the VIPs that absolutely get first dibs will eventually get what they want and it'll trickle down.

Waiting to get 116619 Meteorite since April 2021. That is the longest wait I so far recorded with my AD, and my history is within 7 figure amount. Go figure, when wait will be over. I have not so far experienced a wait longer than 5 to 6 months for anything you may imagine.

Was waiting 5 months for my JC DSSD when I scored it as a walk in on vacation. Now I’m waiting for a BLNR but only about a month in so not surprised I haven’t gotten a call yet. Will be happy as long as I have it by the end of ‘23.

Not sure. Called 4 AD’s today near me for a new purchase and was either laughed at or told no we don’t have any of those before being hung up on. The first got the wrong info from whoever answered the phone. Was initially told yes, they stocked GMT’s, but when I explained that I wanted a Rolex and not a Tudor, I got cut down real quick. He then asked if I did any prior business with them, which I answered yes and proceeded to explain that I know the owner and a former SA from the previous location. They said some people have been waiting 2-3 years, and basically told me good luck. One AD did take my name down, and 4 different options I was interested in. End result was an unknown timeline for a call. We will see what happens.

Been waiting nearly 3 years for a BLRO. Have bought several watches over the years from this AD. Got a CHNR with zero wait back in 2018 before it became so popular so I guess it evens out? I actually don't expect it at this point. In fact as someone who has been into Rolex since the early '90's, I'm kind of over the whole thing to be honest.

What? Did you ask what is an acceptable purchase history? Wouldn’t it be nice , if ADs can tell you exactly what will get you a watch instead of giving us false expectations or making us believe we are getting a call “soon” even though you may have no chance.
