Does the polar have any light play at all with the watch? For example, the sub with it's glossy dial and ceramic bezel shines and plays with so many different lighting conditions.
My sense is with the steel bezel and the white background it looks the same no matter if you're inside your house or outside in sunlight. |

It just feels more substantial and chunky (the older 216570) but definitely has its charm. It feels even bigger than the new version IMO. I was so pleasantly surprised with the wearability of the newer one compared to the last time I tried the II |

What do you think of the clasp difference between the two? Again, all I have to go on is the clasp of my Submariner 124060 vs. 114060 Thanks Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

I have the old movement polar 6 digit and I wouldn't trade it for anything, it's the most comfortable watch for me in my collection. It really lays flat on my wrist. Haven't tried the new one but I'm sure the experience is very similar. Glad to hear your considering one. One of the only watches I bought twice.

High praise coming from you Brian Yes, I think I need to get over to my AD and see if I can try one one. Your wearing experience is exactly what I’m looking for, and there’s just something about this reference that’s always intrigued me |

You'll love it - and it's great to have a what dial option if you don't already.

I've got a Polar, Sub, Pepsi and Datejust. The Polar is on my wrist 90% of the time. Most legible, very comfortable and understated. A number of people have asked me what kind if watch it is.

I really like the polar, but wondering about how it will fit my 6.5" wrist. I'm thinking it might be just a touch too big. Hopefully I can try an exhibition model on at my next visit to my AD.
