Rolex and Tiffany had a co branding deal of some sort. In the early years of that deal, Tiffany themselves handwrote and later stamped the dials. Then at some point, Rolex began stamping the Tiffany name on the dial themselves. Unfortunately, sometime in the 90s, Rolex stopped stamping Tiffany and refused to service watches that would be stamped by Tiffany themselves, supposedly because they didn’t want any other brand’s name on their dials anymore. I have a feeling there’s more to it than that. In response, Tiffany stopped selling Rolex in their retail stores, and the rest is history.

Well unless it was authorised by Rolex themselves and have the paperwork to conform this would not touch it with a 10 Ft barge pole.IMHO it's no longer a Rolex but a Frankenstein watch and doubtful if Rolex would service it.

Way back in the early days of watch retail, it was typical for the retailers name to appear on the dial and not the manufacturer.
Wilsdorf was one of those who pioneered the dial carrying the "brand name" rather than the retailer's.
While some retailer's names have appeared in later years (Tiffany) it is not something which has been done for a long time.
Even in recent times where collaboration with the brand (Tudor) have happened, no retailer name appears on the dial, think Bucherer and Harrods with their Black Bays.
This is not an official collaboration. Aspley have had a hit and miss relationship with Rolex over the years. At times being an official retailer, often not. Rolex won't touch this watch.
Aspley had a slew of "special editions" in conjunction with Bamford some years ago where they modified (destroyed) Sky Dwellers, EXPII, Deep Seas etc.... with PVD'd cases and bracelets, purple Aspley signed dials etc.... All priced way above retail and so heavily modified Rolex would no longer recognise them as "of Rolex manufacture' and will not touch them with a barge pole.
