In fifty years, by the fireplace:

Grandkids, come closer. Let me share the story of when I coined a nickname for a Rolex bezel. It was April 2024, a moment that forever altered history. While others were engrossed in advancing AI, self driving cars, and space exploration, I delved into my parents basement, rifling through the fridge and my old comic book collection, seeking a clue that would unveil the perfect moniker…

Coke zero would be obsolete fantastic if there was a red hand with red lettering. So I'm not sure I understand Coke zero

Pikachu, ghost, sprite, Bruce Wayne, Coke Zero…

Nick names used to be cool when it was sparsely done and there existed a serendipitous comparison to other competitors like Pepsi and Coke.

However, intentionally naming every watch that comes out with some esoteric connection takes away all charm from the few names that have existed such as Paul Newman, etc

Hahaha, this is a R rated version of what I was trying to say.

Nice touring btw, I recently went to the Porsche Track Experience at Birmingham and was so impressed with the capabilities of the 992 chassis

Thanks ! 2024. Paint to sample with CXX interior. Manual. Full Carbon. A real treat !

The 992 is quite amazing. It makes me wonder how they can continue to make these cars better when they are so amazing. What cars did you drive at the experience ? C4S/Cayman/Taycan ?

We drove the 992 GTS for majority of the time, but others too 4.0 cayman GTS, 992 Turbo S, Boxster GTS, and a Taycan Turbo. There was a GT3RS but only for hot laps. I have a 718 GT4 manual myself but always love the 9k DFI engine in the GT3s. Happy driving!

It's Bruce Wayne. This was already decided months ago. These kinds of things happen too quick to change. The same people who reject the common popular name are the same that tried to call the Green and Black GMT the "Flanders"...

Stop trying to make "Fetch" happen....

So lame and cringe. Anyone who calls an AD with any of these nick name lines wont be getting one. I just talked with my SA about this yesterday. He said anyone that calls and asks for any of these new watches by calling it a stupid super hero name or anything will have to buy 50k worth of jewelry to be put on " the list ". haha.
Well, you won’t be getting any MSRP watches. I do just fine:)

LOL. It was a joke, but people click on “nickname” threads and then lament nicknames. Forehead palm plant indeed, and launch a full spread, Mr Worf.

I like "Francis Grey" because it has grey on the watch and the character has some time related elements. See description from Wikipedia below.

The character of Francis Grey was created specifically for the show, but he may have been based on the Clock King. He is presented as a failed clockmaker and thief, who stole a pocket watch and was arrested for a larger crime that he accidentally caused. While in prison, he develops the ability to rewind time by a few seconds due to his increasing desire for a do-over. On New Year's Eve a decade later, Batman and Batgirl attempt to stop him by bringing Grey's son to him. However, the poison he planned to detonate went off regardless. The grief of his son dying allowed him to successfully rewind all the way back to the day he took that pocket watch and decided not to steal it. This resulted in a new present-day where he and his son are fixing clocks together with Bruce being one of their clients.

That said, "Robin" is another alternative because he's better known, still on the Batman theme but with some green in the mix on the watch.

It's still the Britney Griner. If we are going to use awful nicknames, let's go all the way.

I think it should be the LaCroix because it’s like soda with all the color and flavor drained out of it.

Looking forward to whatever name sticks. Maybe this new color combo was created by Rolex to foil these nicknames.
