Absolutely this!. I know for a fact a friend of mine bought a display model GMT from an AD that already had a few light scratches when he picked it up and then he wore it for a few months after that and it picked a couple more scratches. He then sold it to a highly rated gray dealer and to both our shocks, it was listed as brand new and never worn on the website. All the scratches were gone. This is why I only buy brand new from the AD.

Yes it’s been like this forever! Back in the day I think many people didn’t particularly care because we were paying under MSRP.

Now people are paying 2-3x MSRP for polished up pieces that have been sold at an AD to a VIP and then flipped for profit each time it’s traded hands. Only for the end user to be holding the bag

“Unsized” with “stickers” is the highest guarantee of a watch being absolutely new. This applies to every source. Unfortunately a AD probably can’t give you one this “new” but a trusted seller might.

To me new means zero damage. Even if it's listed in excellent used condition, the seller should honestly disclose all damage. I call what you received significant. I wouldn't accept it. That's why somebody sold it in the first place. Good luck and hope you get your money back.

Absolutely send it back. I bought a watch from a “trusted” seller that had a small knick
on a lug from seemingly a springbar removal that was supposed to be new and unworn. I regret not noticing it until after I wore it. I know it was there because the pics I took as soon as I opened the watch had it. The watch also had a few other scratches that really didn’t make me think it was new.

Don’t be like me. Send yours back and get what you paid for.

I wouldn’t buy a watch with that scar if it was disclosed regardless of price and I certainly wouldn’t keep it if the scar was a surprise. There are plenty of other watches, send it back.

Return it unless it was disclosed about the dent before you bought it.

Don’t ever buy grey without seeing it in person first.

The watch needs to go back if the description doesn't mention the dent and the pictures show a different watch in mint condition. The seller knew what he was doing and can't be trusted. Please help the community and name the seller. Let us know if you get your money back.

I guess the watch was brand new including the brand new dent.
Hope this trusted seller can still be trusted....or not.
Many on TRF will be closely following this issue, so please keep us in the loop.

I would return it. It would not be worth some money back to keep it because you can’t trust the seller anymore. Start over in your search after you return.

Brand new watch with a dent.

Obviously you’ve been in touch with the seller, so how about an update

OP. It's a return for full refund without question. This comment above makes me immediately question if this really is a "trusted seller". I've purchased from both AD's and trusted sellers here on TRF and have had no issue either way. If anyone advertises a watch that does not have stickers in the pics and you get one that does have them I'd be concerned about that even without the ding.

The watch you receive should always be the one in the ad. If it's not the seller is not or no longer trusted. Simple as that. Human error can play a role so contact the seller and if they are trusted you should expect no issue with the return and refund. You should also expect a very good explanation as to why this happened. If you don't get satisfaction you should let this community know who the seller is.

Trusted Seller should be able to replace this watch immediately.

Hopefully this is an honest mistake and it's being handled right now.
I think I know who the seller is, but it's not my place to say. Also, I could be wrong.
I reiterate, I hope this gets solved, but the OP needs to update the community.

Hello everyone,

sorry for the delay and for not giving an update, I spoke with the seller yesterday, he only told me that it could have been during the handling, he sent me a label and the watch is on its way back, got offered if I wanted to get another one, They will try to find one in the next few days, I have read some comments about better to get a refund... I can still do it, I don't want to give the name yet because I want to resolve the situation in the best way, I Thank you all for taking the time and supporting

It still doesn't explain why the watch you got had stickers on, while the advertised watch did not!
Anyway, I'm glad it's working out in your favour, and you have a couple of options!!

Make the decision that you’re most comfortable with.

Used Sellers will do whatever they can to maximize their margins. I’d just take a refund and never consider another purchase from this used dealer . No need to publicly name them.
