Why can’t Rolex update President bracelet with a micro adjustment already!

I can’t stand the appearance of the glidelock and hope they don’t go to that. However, the Patek Nautilus 5811 has a very nice hidden (perhaps 5 mm) expansion which works beautifully, is unobtrusive, and would I think fit the Presidential bracelet design well.

I’m happy with the fit of both my DD’s, but wouldn’t be too keen if I needed extra links….cha CHING! $$$$$$$.
And if you need a link removed, make sure it goes home with you

Thank you all for replying and as usual, TRF knowledge is second to none.

I didn’t know about the extended size links which is what the AD said as well is Rolex’s solution to the issue. Unfortunately, it was necessary to get one for my DD to fit comfortably. Not an inexpensive solution but now it fits great.

Excellent. You are right- it's not inexpensive.

As to your original question, though. Several years ago, one of our members unearthed a patent application from Rolex addressing this exact issue. At that point, a lot of us thought the change was imminent, however, it was not to be.

Now, if that means Rolex does incorporate some sort of adjustable clasp at its usual glacier-like speed sometime in the future....is anybody's guess.

That is pretty trick! Like a super slimmed down Glidelock. Rolex seems allergic to any pushbuttons on the bracelet though. Really nice looking clasp.

While everyone on the forum wants an easier fit, clasp, I’m not sure Rolex cares. From my experience, you fit into Rolex, not the other way around.
