Sub. And if the cuff cannot take it, just move the button a bit. Easier than to buy a Sub.

I vote JLC Reverso.

Oh wait, that wasn’t on the list?

Okay then in that case, a JLC Reverso.

I’d go non-rolex and Cartier Santos

With your wrist size and the fact that you don't mind a graduated bezel, I would recommend looking at the Exp II.

This is the voice of reason.

I’m retired now, but I always wore my Submariner with dress shirts. I never experienced this.

Sub.

The Explorer is not that interesting. But I do like the Explorer II.

Explorer wears better with a suit. General guideline is time only with a suit. Bezel puts it off. Plus the Expl flies much better under the radar than the very recognisable profile of the sub.

Well there's two people I didn't think I'd see in the same sentence discussing fashion choices

I think I'd rather look like Bond, myself

A suit/tie and a sub is well accepted in the business world, it's a very common sight (in my part of the world). The Sub makes the suit uniform less constrained and more casual.

Even better is to wear a Sub, but without the suit, or at least without the tie, so you don't look too much like a random sales drone.
