Thanks my friend, it makes a nice change (I change up straps every couple of days! )

Loving your 1680 - the patina is awesome, and the case looks sharp. You did well again there, bud.

That's pretty cool. Standard strap with 16mm on the buckle side? Where'd you pick it up if you don't mind me asking?

I purchased it off ebay. I really like it. It's comfortable and makes putting it on and taking it off a breeze. And yes its standard 16mm

My pictures are about as good as i can take with a Galaxy S4 and no tri pod I need to buy a decent camera.

Looks like you went to a sweet GTG. I look forward to going to one. Will be fun to see other vintage pieces and talk to others with the same sickness

Thank you Vincent. The more I read on the very early (perhaps very first) Submariners like my 6205 the more excited I get to have it back from Bob Ridley. I will definitely post the before and after pics that Bob will be providing me upon completion of what is ending up being a pretty pricey restoration...mechanical only...with a new proper Tropical domed crystal and replacement tritium pearl (the empty hole at 12:00 bugs me). I have bought a very high quality custom made chocolate brown with golden stitching (to match the patina) crocodile strap and added a stainless Rolex buckle that will be the finishing touches to this family project...I plan to wear this watch a lot :) finished project pictures will be posted in mid May.
Regards.
Frank
