newbie here

Hello fellow pinoys, newbie here. Just wanna share my story..

I'm not a watch collector. I only have 3 watches. I rarely wear `em at all. That was before our house burned to the ground 2 years ago. The only things that survived are my 3 watches. All rolexes. Couldn't believe my eyes when I was sifting thru the ashes. 2 stainless and 1 solid gold. One of the stainless rolex only had a semi-melted lens(plastic crystal). The other ss only had soot markings and melted plastic wrapped/fused all over it. The solid gold was unblemished and still looked brand new. I found the watches literally amongst the ashes. No vaults. The watches were inside a wooden cabinet with many wooden drawers underneath. Everything except the watches turned into coal or ash.
I had it all checked at the service center. They only replaced the plastic crystal and cleaned the soot markings in one of the ss watches. The gold president did not even need any cleaning or polishing. The fire lasted for about 2-3 hours..plenty of wood. Since then, I wear my rolexes alternately.
My father's watches were burnt beyond repair.. omega and cartier(both SS). Both omega and cartier service centers could not repair the watches. Both said they had to replace the entire movement inside. His Rolex survived.
