I believe the current 36mm DJ with the blue romans is not azzurro , they still make it , but only in the womens 31mm with light blue Romans.

My son and I have a humble collection... About 2 years ago we were visiting an AD and saw the DJ2 which was not previously on our radar. It blew us away. We loved it for all the exact reasons that some purists don't--- a bit bigger, thicker, more aggressive, more flashy (referring to the extra fluted bezel)... We had to have it.

As soon as I learned it was discontinued we bought one and are so glad we did. Since then we have seen a DJ41 which looks almost the same as the DJ2... In general- it just looks LESS....

I understand it isn't for everyone but my unsolicited advice is simply-- if u r pondering the DJ2 vs the DJ41 don't overthink it or ask someone else's opinion. Simply just go see one in person and you'll know.

DJII is discontinued and they now make the Datejust 41 (which is actually 39mm) in place of it. The 116234 Datejust is 36mm.
