Exactly my issue. So do all these people Access TRF via their Iphone squinting on the actual website?? Not use tapatalk?

So, I have it installed. Not completely intuitive, but it didn’t take too long. Steve must be dealing with a lot of dumba$$es like me, as I was hacked just several weeks ago. I’m grateful for the help, and the added security.

You can use that Authy code its just as good.
In set up if you scan the QR CODE it sets up the account straight away.

I've added the 2FA. Feel better. I was hacked once and someone attempted recently. Thanks for this solution.

I couldn’t say - one would need to capture the NetFlow to know their access method(s). At various times of day I access TRF via browser and TapaTalk simultaneously as I move between mobile and laptop use.

Steve’s 2FA process is what I’d enable on your TRF account as a primary step.

My opinion is one step at a time. Get people onto 2FA on the forum server first. Locking down iOS/Android Mobile users on TapaTalk would be useful when TRF traffic via TapaTalk reaches 50+%...

The authentication number you receive from Google Authenticator or Authy is only good for 30 seconds. I think both apps have a countdown feature. Wait until a new number is assigned, then enter it into the TRF page.

Tried this countless times. Nothing works. Keep getting invalid authorization code.

Still getting invalid authorization code. I'm putting the code in fast enough. TRF page on my laptop or phone? Can it be my antivirus or screening else not allowing it to go through?

AV nor web filtering should affect it.

But be sure you’re trying to authenticate TRF and not your own Google account. It’s easy to get them crossed up.

No, you can do it on a PC. Then when you log in from the iPhone you will get the 2FA window since you’re on a different IP address.

I finally got it to go through Chuck but I honestly couldn’t tell you how I did it.
Couldn’t do it through my iPhone so I downloaded Authy on my laptop and had better luck.

I'd been having problems and in the end, I deleted all the accounts I had and started from fresh. I downloaded the Google Authenticator to my phone. Went to the Forum page that opens when you ask to setup Two Factor Authorisation. On my phone, open the app, hit the "+" sign. Hit the "Scan QR Code" go to the forum page with the QR code. Once you have scanned the code a number is generated, enter that number into the code box, I think it was without spaces. The hit the input button.

I struggled with Authy but that was possible my stupidity.

That is the quickest way to do it.

Your cell phone must know the correct time for Google Authenticator to work.

This is usually the problem:

https://bigone.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/...t-Code-Errors-

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Yours device needs to have the correct time for 2FA to authenticate.
