Thanks! No oyster flex (I think this is with the gold models), just the standard Oyster bracelet.

Congrats! You have a great watch and narrowly avoided making a potentially regrettable decision!

These should “I buy a 12k watch I really dont want” threads really crack me up. These make me miss the “is it ok to get my sub wet” threads....

Congratulations on the Daytona! I'm glad you gave it a shot by going to see it in-person before making a decision. I knew if you went to see it you'd be walking out with it on your wrist. Enjoy it in good health!

Think about it this way. How often do you get to buy something that is worth 1.5 to 2 times what you literally just paid for it. Can’t pass that up, even if you intend to hold

If U don't want it just say thanks you'll have the next piece and let the person after you enjoy it.

Good luck!

Flip it

The thing is, my passion in watches has diminished in the last two years. I don't follow news, forums etc. I don't even know what Rolex released this year at Basel.

On the other hand, I know how special the 116500 is and perhaps it will rekindle some of that enthusiasm. Also if I say no and later change my mind, the waiting list is now 10 years!

So TRFers, what do you advise?

Edit: Buying in order to flip is not something I would consider. I don't want the hassle & risk of doing such a transaction with people I don't know. Please don't PM me asking to buy it from me.
Go get it and flip it
