Very subjective. The GRNR is more subtle, the BLNR less so

Unfair comparison as the BLNR is THE original two color ceramic Rolex. It’s the one Rolex first launched the entire line with and the one Rolex has not deviated from its original color scheme in any way all these years.

You are correct, and the blue is stunning, crazy that same blue cannot be used in the Pepsi .. BLNR was the one of the first Rolexes I wanted in a long time, I rate it alongside my VTNR ..

I’m a fan of some color. If I’m allocated the new GMt I’ll take one for the collection.

Most experts agree that the BLNR is about 6% better.

The GRNR is "better" if you like grey and black bezels (and non-matching green GMT hands and GMT text), while the BLNR is "better" if you like blue and black bezels (and matching blue GMT hands). Other than that, they're identical.

Personally I like blue and black bezels (and matching blue GMT hands).

Owned and still prefer 126710BLNR-002 over GRNR due to:
- 1st 2 colour tone bezel by Rolex and not in history.
- blue GMR hand where overall colours matched.
- Black and blue bezel. Reason colours make sense. Blue for day and black for night (I like colour that made sense) and BLNR nailed it.

Another reason is: I owned another 116710LN which identical to GRNR

I like the pop of color on the BLNR so I’d take that one. Both are geat, but BLNr is an easy choice for me. It’s a perfect shade of blue.

If I had both in front of me available for purchase I'd take the GRNR, and I currently own a 2023 BLNR.

Just buy both.

BLNR been out more than 10years now. If GRNR were out for 10y, BLNR came out, it would also be hot.

I’m done with these situations when you could just buy both.

Really unfair to stack the GRNR against the BLNR…sorry.

Neither is better than the other…it’s a matter of personal preference.

Imo the GRNR is much nicer though…the Batman and Pepsi do nothing for me. They’re too comical looking to me.

Others prefer colour…

I own a BLNR on jubilee and am currently waiting for a GRNR on oyster. Both great watches in my estimation. I agree with other sentiments that if picking only one the GRNR might be more versatile since it’s not as “loud”, but I think they are definitely different enough to make it worth owning both.

Anyone who hasn’t seen the GRNR in the metal needs to do so before counting it out; I wasn’t impressed by the initial photos of it but when my AD let me try on one that was allocated to another client it completely changed my perception. The contrast in the bezel is great in person and it’s just a very well composed watch in my book.

BLNR vs GRNR

Own both on jubilee....for me BLNR is actually my favorite of all 4 current GMT SS, blue/black color scheme even trumps the Pepsi for me personally...blessed to own all 4 variants, however if limited to 2, I would keep the GRNR as one of the 2 given that it provides a very different look/feel to the more colored schemes....

Edit: just noticed my sprite is the wrong way round in the pics

I had just the opposite effect when I saw it in person. To me, it's just blah, no pop to the watch. I much prefer the TT or full PM to the SS version. The gold on the indices on the bezel make it pop. Granted, it is a subdued look, but just not for me.
